Open enrollment in the Obamacare-created federal Health Insurance Exchange is scheduled to begin on November 1, and many consumers returning to the exchange or signing up for the first time are in for a rude awakening. Millions of Americansâ health insurance premiums are expected to rise and hundreds of thousands more could find themselves without any health insurance subsidies at all in 2016.

Obamacare working not as advertised but as planned by the Marxist in chief.
and you will or not get a 1095 statement this year. and that 1095 will be filed or not with the IRS. that is the tracking device for the feds on who has insurance coverage for each month of the year.

More people dying in the streets because of no health insurance (the liberal cry prior to 0bamacare)
For people who try to budget, it’s got to be a weight, not knowing what that expense will be from one year to the next. Quite the drag on discretionary spending. I’m fortunate to still have a decent employer-provided plan but many don’t. For people who are already just barely squeaking by, how on earth do they accommodate another several hundred dollars per month?
If you can’t, you have to enroll in Medicaid.
I’m happy without the boat anchor of private health insurance.
It paid $3300 for my colonoscopy checkup. My out of pocket cost was a $4 doctor’s office visit co-pay.
One local utility company is reportedly going to jack health insurance cost$ up 47%! It’s union employees. Wait until that news gets out!
We’re going to get single payer.
This is by design.
We’ll end up with something like Canada Medicare within the decade.
We just got hubby’s private insurance increase for January. It’s going up 29% or $263 more per month. For both of us our total insurance costs per month will be just over $1600 per month. I’ve noticed for our income level our private insurance costs keep tracking right with the Obamacare costs. I can go to CoverecCa.com and check.
Totally ridiculous.
Even private plans have to be compliant
Yup.
Private health insurers are slowly being squeezed out of business.
Medicaid doesn’t have to compete and that’s why its an attractive alternative given that the private health insurance market is closed ten months out of the year.
Medicaid. Hahahahaha.
We are payers not receivers. Always have been. Even now that we’re both retired. Every dollar of our income is documented and we pay as many if not more taxes now as we did when we both worked.
This entire mess has many people angered. Not sure if it will translate into many anti-dimwit votes or not.
If you live in a state that accepted the Medicaid expansion.
That’s a lot to pay for health insurance. How much is your deductable?
Single payer will likely come via Medicaid expansion incrementally. Then, when all the states look at their budgets, Medicaid will have to be increasingly federally funded.
But in the meantime, a lot of people will drop their insurance or not get insurance and hope that the IRS didn’t come after them for the penalty.
I would expect that the Dems and rinos will quietly move to inject more money into Medicaid and then we could arrive at single payer by stealth.
Then once mostly everyone is enrolled, the government can force patients to accept vaccines as a condition of treatment and hospitalization. Vaccines of course have limited liability so big pharma is incentivized to make big profits w/o being troubled by adverse outcomes. Instead of a pill, it will be a vaccine, and anything and everything will be put into these vaccines. I would imagine that there will be a vaccine for oppositional defiance disorder (anyone that opposes the U.S. Government). Then, the government will be able to turn their opponents into zombies, Democrats, Satanists or whatever.
Once you’re in the government healthcare system, the government will encourage, cajole, and force doctors to make mental health diagnoses that will give the government the right to gun confiscation.
That’s why getting rid of the individual mandate is so important.
Don’t get sick.
Most don’t. They just do without and wait to see what happens.
Hubby has no deductible on his just copayments for everything. It is retirees insurance through his employer but he pays for the whole thing. Mine is separate private insurance and I have a $150 per year deductible plus copayments.
Well at least you have that. Some of the deductibles are so high on the lower end plans on the exchanges that most people still don’t go to the doctor. Kinda like catastrophic plans except you have to pay for everyone else’s maternity care and their contraceptives.
And the *extra* bonus for the Rats is that the 1,500,000+ new government paycheck recipients needed to run this monstrosity naturally work for, donate to and vote for Rats at every election.
