A militant group affiliated to Islamic State in Egypt claimed responsibility for the downing of a Russian passenger plane that crashed in Egypt's Sinai peninsula on Saturday, the group said in a statement circulated by supporters on Twitter.
SNIP....
"The fighters of the Islamic State were able to down a Russian plane over Sinai province that was carrying over 220 Russian crusaders. They were all killed, thanks be to God," the statement circulated on Twitter said.

EVERYTHING obama does either: a) Weakens America/Americans
b) Distances America's allies
c) Strengthens America's enemies
d) Attacks Christianity
e) Serves Islam
f) Harms Israel
Or some combination of the above.
There are NO counter examples.
I remember when you came up with this nully... it's held true and become an easy standard to hold up against Obama... You're right - there are no counter examples...
Gotcha. What are the odds that isis could buy or steal one of those?
Not lending any credence to the claim but, (a) There are terrorists operating freely in Sinai and (b) Altitudes there can range to 6000 Feet.
I thought the very same thing. Just too fast a response.
Probably not a missile though. I’d bet bomb. Anybody ever been there? How is airport security? I’d say if isis wanted something aboard it could happen pretty easily there.
> Ever flown on a Russian plane ?
I have. From Pulkovo to Sheremetyevo on a TU134B.
Loudest aircraft I’ve ever flown in, by far. Everybody smoked, except us of course. Everybody was completely hammered on vodka, except us of course.
HOWEVER, their international flights are something else.
Nonstop from Moscow to New York on Aeroflot Boing 777 was an amazing trip. Dinner was broiled salmon with lemon sauce. Best meal I’ve ever had on an aircraft.
While we were boarding, the flight crew walked past us. They were single file, walking military lockstep with the captain in the lead.
That would, however, involve a lot of fatalities within the U.S. executive branch.
Did you look in the cockpit?
The text? Mine.
The graphic? I borrowed it, but don’t remember from which FReeper, sorry.
I would think stupid if there were only ONE exception to the Al-Gore-Rhythm.
If it were mere stupidity he’d occasionally do the right thing by accident.
He never has.
That EVERY SINGLE ACTION is towards the same goal of the destruction of “the Great Satan” proves cunning, planning, and an endless burning enmity towards all we hold dear.
Ok thanks for the post. Will be interesting to know the truth on this one, if we ever do.
For what it’s worth:
âThere are two aspects for the Russian intervention in Syria: In the first, the front line should be reinforced, maintained and is expected later to recover more lands and lost cities. The second is to hunt and bomb the Islamic State (ISIS) group leaders as well as other extremist groups in Syria, without exception. There are no red lines for the Russian operational tactics against terrorism that may extend to Iraq if necessary. The Kremlin has decided to face and fight terrorism by all means and is determine to eliminate, not to contain, ISIS. The Russians are aware of the necessity of cooperation with the U.S. led coalition over the sky of Syria to prevent unnecessarily accidents â, the source said.
The senior commander explained, âIsrael and the United States are also concerned about the possibility that Hezbollah could benefit from the advanced Russian military equipment pouring into Syria. As far as it concerns us, Damascus and Hezbollah are strategically linked and share the same destiny. Any sophisticated weapon owned by Syria and Iran that an organized but irregular force, like Hezbollah, can use in case of war against Israel is already in our possession. Israel is raising the alarm by saying that its ânational securityâ could be in jeopardy if Hezbollah has this or that technology or could benefit from Russiaâs presence to transport more weapons into Lebanon. Russiaâs answer is that its own national security is already in jeopardy due to terrorism expansion. Russia is not fighting a battle but a war on terror on Syrian soil and elsewhere and is present in a hostile environment. Russia will pursue and wonât give up upon in this war, in Syria, regardless any possible international pressure to persuade it otherwiseâ.

Lots of advanced AA units mostly of Russian origin were looted during Hillary’s War and found their way - according to numerous reports - into the Sinai and beyond.
Were these only manpads or did Libya have high altitude SAMs? In Reagan’s time they did, so it is safe to assume that Qaddafi still had Russian SAMs which would be able to shoot down airliners.
SO... it’s a NULLY ORIGINAL.
Thanks.
“Hmmmm. Maybe a bomb on board??”
That I can believe, and there is not a single Soros subservient Western power I would exclude as a culprit, along with the usual jihadi hysterics.
Darn good question never thought of it. I wonder if the jetliner would realize if they were hit by a stinger and not broadcast it over the radio?
might well have Englished the Arabic âAllahâ as âGodâ.
Which is likely the case.
However, I still doubt their claim.
I try to put all the pieces together when confronting something like this.
There was mention that the crew complained of engine problems before they left the ground.
That is where I would look for ‘cause’.
“Ever flown on a Russian plane ?”
It was a French built plane, owned by a US corporation, with an Irish registration, being operated by a Russian airline.
Maintenance was contracted out.
Clear as mud, right?
