One of the wealthiest and most influential Republican donors in the country is throwing his support to Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, a decision that could swing millions of dollars in contributions behind Mr. Rubio at a critical point in the Republican nominating battle.
In a letter that Mr. Singer sent to dozens of other donors on Friday, which was obtained by The New York Times, Mr. Singer described Mr. Rubio â who was elected to the Senate in the Tea Party wave but has been embraced by the partyâs Washington elite â as the only candidate who can ânavigate this complex primary process, and still be in a position to defeatâ Hillary Rodham Clinton in a general election. ...
Both Mr. Rubio and Mr. Bush eagerly sought Mr. Singerâs backing, as did Mr. Christie, and all three have ties to the wealthy hedge fund manager.
...
The lobbying of Mr. Singer intensified in recent weeks as Mr. Bushâs debate stumbles and declining poll numbers drove many donors to consider Mr. Rubio anew. Last week, Mr. Bushâs campaign manager, Danny Diaz, and senior adviser, Sally Bradshaw, flew to New York to make personal appeals on Mr. Bushâs behalf, in the hopes of heading off an endorsement of Mr. Rubio, according to two people close to the former governorâs campaign.

See now here is where fights can be started. I will be supportive of Trump/Cruz and will push them but if the Republican voters select Rubio or someone else I will vote for the nominee. Its up to us conservatives to get the conservatives elected by turning out and getting our friends and followers to turn out. If we cannot do that we have no one to blame but ourselves. Staying home is a vote for President Hillary and its something I can never or will ever do.
Yap, repeat of 2012......Santorum+Newt versus lone RINO Mitt.
There is nobody on that debate stage that I would not vote for over Hillary Clinton. And that includes Rubio.
However, before I did, I'd have to check out the third party candidates.
Recently I checked into immigration policies of New Zealand. They welcome immigrants who bring $1.5 Million US. Only other method is if you have skills needed in NZ economy. Which also requires a job offer from NZ. And you must pass English test run by NZ gov’t.
They do not need a wall. They are surrounded by large ocean.
I don’t think I could ever bring myself to go third party unless it was Rand Paul as the R nominee then maybe. But definitely staying home is a really bad thing.
He could sign in blood and I would not believe him again. HE lied about HIB visas at the debate.
Ruuuuuuuubeeeeeeeeeeeeooooooooooooo..............
.......brings ‘em in from Meehhicccickooooooo!
Rubio only shows up like a french work week.
If Rubio is the nom. I certainly will vote for him. He will/can certainly beat Hillary.
Its legalized gambling without the roulette table. Imagine how much that money will grow if the ball falls into the correct slot. How many times have we heard of how much these people will lose at a weekend jaunt to Vegas? Think about it, are the odds far better dumping it on a pretty faced, fast talking LIAR . . . than on a roulette table?
Rubio is a bald faced LIAR, period. There is nothing he can say to this Florida voter after the Gang of 8 that will entice me to mark his little oval in.
Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
I prefer Cruz and my money goes to his campaign, hence the Cruz link. If you like someone else, donate to him/her (find your own link to do it) and if you use FR and don't donate, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches or those who have Obama Phones because, functionally, you are no different than any other FReeloader.....
GO CRUZ!! Keep it up Trump!!
LOL fine...Hillary sez thank you.
So as long as he lies straight to your face, eye to eye, you have no problem thinking he, just maybe, isn’t lying to you about any other thing? Yea, right.
At a Republican District 4 campaign kickoff on June 5, 2010, in Lake City, Florida, He was making his pitch for support against 5 other Senatorial candidates. He gave a passionate speech pretty much from his heart with a 3x5 notecard as backup. He said no amnesty in any form and before anything could be discussed, border security must be in place.
He wrote a little “book”, more like a pamphlet, of which I had a copy of and while he was signing it, I asked him again, and he repeated the same as he did in the speech.
So, take your (McCain, Romney, RNC) scare tactics . . do I really need to finish it?
He lied to us from his heart, period.
I dont care LOL
Geez, you had to confirm what we already knew?
Wikipedia says:
“Paul Elliott Singer (born August 22, 1944) is an American hedge fund manager, investor, philanthropist, and political activist.”
Note: hedge fund...hasn’t Trump said some negative things about hedge fund people?
NO to Rubio, he will not be shoved in our faces.
Another donor for Trump to diss on. LOL!
