IIRC, Lincoln and Stephen Douglass invited each other to hold debates, did they not, and the public was invited to attend.

Were there not ‘journalists’ in the crowd, but NOT a host at all?

Did not Lincoln and Douglass use the original model of debate, instead of a circus act news reporter moderator?

If I framed this, as accurate, why not do it, again?

"I’m surprised Rube-o is attending, considering the media loves him. Maybe he’s just upset that they love ¡Yeb! more?:

Another snow job. He wants us to believe he is not part of the GOPe.

What the media has yet to understand is that there are other options now with the internet.

“Understand that the Democrat Party and the Republican Party is just one large Uni-Party that seeks to expand Government and the power in Washington DC “

Oh, I know that...I just believe in asking questions that have obvious answers, to show even slow people that someone or some organization is a lying sack of dog crap. Here it is not, regrettably, much of a challenge.

[and how to remove power from the hands of the Republican National Committee.]

a.k.a., the liberal democrat rino coalition of liars and thieves united to destroy conservatives in America. The conservatives have but a few conservatives in Congres to represent us as the dem rino coalition represents dems and rinos only.

[Why there is cross-over voting allowed in ANY primary.]

Cause the conservative hating majority rinos love to have it that way, it has been way past time for conservatives to bail from the dem controlled GOP. Yes, we need a third party for conservatives run only by conservatives and who are enemies of the fools, liars, and theieves who run DC nowdays.

I don't care who attends this, and I don't care what they do to get to the point that the candidates are the ones that are being treated poorly, and there is no reason for this other than the GOPe is in bed with the immigration and amnesty people that don't want it to become an issue...

It is the focus of this election, get the illegal immigrants out of here, stop paying medicare, food stamps, social security, housing and medical expenses...these programs are for OUR people, veterans and elderly....

Why not let the candidates pick someone to head a round table discussion, sit around a big table and talk, and quit throwing these ‘well you said this about Bush and you told Christie this about Cruz’ crap...

Tell the super pacs to take a hike, this is a lot of the problems anyway...

History. Parties did not used to disagree so much on basic values and people were more neighborly about politics. And also, more recently, 'independents' are the ones most politicians want to pander to, and those independents do not want to be excluded from either party's nominating process.

I’m betting Cavuto does a good job. He seems quite capable, and serious in his role. I have no idea who Bartiromo is.

Maria Bartiromo and Neil Cavuto are class acts and will treat the candidates fairly.

Every state has three members on the RNC: the national committeeman, the national committeewoman, and the state chairman. These people are elected by their state parties under state party rules. The national umbrella organization is simply a confederation of the various state and territorial parties.

The downside of this structure is that the microscopically small Republican parties of the various New England states, and Hawaii, have as much clout as Texas, Florida, Ohio, or Georgia. If it's any consolation, however, in terms of voting power in the RNC, Idaho balances out New York, and Indiana offsets California.

I tend to think a loose confederation is preferable to a highly centralized central committee type of structure. YMMV.

Rinse ‘n Repeat has been a disaster for the RNC, and the GOP suffers because of it. Where did they ever find this guy? He is just awful. Under his stewardship the RNC is just an arm of the DNC.

What the media has yet to understand is that there are other options now with the internet.

You're right. First it was talk radio, then Fox News came along and finally the internet became very accessible. Now the media and govt want to put the "genie" back in the bottle.

No they won't. They will just be slicker about it than Megan Fox was. Murdoch is an open borders/amnesty guy and the talking heads at Fox have to toe the company line, or their contracts won't get renewed. Fox was all Bush at the start and now they are all Rubio.

I figured it was more of a rhetorical question, but I didn’t mind playing the straight-man. Our Political/Media class are destructive enemies that need to be called out at every opportunity.

Bartiromo got posterized by Newt in 2012 when she was with CNBC.

Cavuto can hardly restrain his contempt for Cruz. I have watched him interview Cruz. I was furious.
