China's naval commander told his U.S. counterpart that a minor incident could spark war in the South China Sea if the United States did not stop its "provocative acts" in the disputed waterway, the Chinese navy said on Friday.
Admiral Wu Shengli made the comments to U.S. chief of naval operations Admiral John Richardson during a video teleconference on Thursday, according to a Chinese naval statement.
The two officers held talks after a U.S. warship sailed within 12 nautical miles of one of Beijing's man-made islands in the contested Spratly archipelago on Tuesday.

Code of Conduct in the South China Sea
In July 2012, China (PRC) announced that it is open to launching discussions on the Code of Conduct in the South China Sea, but called for all parties to exercise self-restraint in keeping with the spirit of previous declarations and United Nation conventions. This announcement has been criticised by many neighbouring states because of the contradictions seen in the Scarborough Shoal at that time where China has established de facto control.[26]
On 2 August 2012, the United States Senate unanimously passed a resolution declaring that China's July 2012 actions to unilaterally assert control of disputed territories in the South China Sea "are contrary to agreed upon principles with regard to resolving disputes and impede a peaceful resolution."[27]

Chuck Fina.
Kinda reminds one of those loonies who move into a family’s house when the family’s away on vacation, then get all hot and bothered when anyone questions their right to be there.
These islands do NOT belong to China.
Time for a national boycott of Chinese products. Send the container ships back! They can stack their cotainers on their newly formed “islands”.
“These islands do NOT belong to China.”
They do if no one removes them. Think of those islands as stationary and unsinkable aircraft carriers.
Actually they are sinkable wait till a typhoon rolls through
As I mentioned in another thread, we PO Xi and his comrades, they call in our debt....then what happens? Hmmmmmmm?
You cant call in debt, you apparently dont know anything about bonds.

In the event of war, the enemy assets are seized and held in a trustee account pending future settlements against the estate. Given the damages incurred during a war, the enemy’s estate may or may not be assessed damages. If those damages accrue in an amount comparable to any debts owed the enemy, those debts may be offset by the damages awarded by a competent court of law. In other words, any U.S. bonds held by China could end up becoming worthless. due to the assessment of damages incurred during the Chinese aggression against the United States and its allies.

Lol! Good point! But, they’ll fly off aircraft and non-essential personnel whenever one is eminent.
