Smart weapons recognize their owners' fingerprints or hand grip, or unlock when they wirelessly interact with a special watch or ring worn by the shooter. Which means the crooks will now steal your guns, watches, rings, and whatever else to make the "smart gun" work while in their possession, thereby defeating the entire purpose of the "smart gun" in the first place.
I can't be the only one who figured that out in 30ns.

Let's not use the enemy's terminology. These are not "smart guns," they are "crippled guns."
The one time I needed a gun RIGHT NOW, I didn't have to worry about whether the battery was dead, or whether I was holding it just so, or whether the phase of the moon was right. I had a gun that worked the way John Moses Browning intended for it to work, and it solved my problem.
