The GOPe may dare to impose him, via procedural chicanery with superdelgates, sudden ‘rules changes’ in key states, or whatever. A lot of amoral, small people are looking at losing their gravy train. How much they dare is their only limit.

It's so freakin' obvious every time I watch the Republicans line up onstage that the GOPe is simply trying to stack the deck against a conservative to dilute the vote, and make the conservative die the death of a thousand cuts. There's no reason for at least half of them to be there. They won't quit because they'd rather bring down the whole ship rather than let one conservative (or outsider) take the helm.

That way all the liberal TV shows like Colbert, Fallon, SNL, et al can continue making jokes like "who's not running for the GOP nomination?" Bush won't quit because he's helping the GOPe just by showing up and adding tarnish to the brand.

All you people hoping Jeb gets out need to think about this

"You should be hoping he doesn't quit. If Jeb gets out then the GOPe will have a single viable candidate (Rubio) to rally behind. Until the conservatives decide on either Trump or Cruz we need the establishment split between Jeb and Rubio."

How did Romney win? A single GOPe candidate with conservatives split. Jeb gets out and it's 2012 all over again.

That would be Fiorina, with Rubio as her running mate. She could emulate Romney by smashing Hillary! in the first debate, then stepping back and letting her lead slip in October '16.

Also, Rubio and Dem VP candidate Julian Castro could hold their one debate on Univision, in Spanish with English SAP; that would ensure Castro winning the debate.

It doesn't have to happen this way, of course, but it will be up to us to ensure that it doesn't.
