Swing and a miss. It was the story of the night, the story of the debate, and it might soon be the story of Jeb Bush's campaign.
His timing was logical and yet inopportune; CNBC's Carl Quintanilla had been quizzing Rubio about his mounting number of missed Senate votes, which prompted a Florida newspaper to call for his resignation. Rubio responded forcefully by decrying the newspaper's "double standard" of endorsing Democratic candidates who had similarly missed votes. The audience rallied behind Rubio, roaring with approval - and just then, Bush decided to jump in.
"Marco, when you signed up for this, this was a six-year term, and you should be showing up to work," Bush lectured. "You can campaign [for president] or just resign and let someone else take the job. There are a lot of people living paycheck to paycheck in Florida as well. They are looking for a senator that will fight for them each and every day."
Rubio, looking not ruffled in the slightest, asked for time to respond. When it was granted, he reminded Bush about his recent promise to run a campaign like John McCain's in 2008 - "by fighting hard in New Hampshire and places like that, carrying your own bag at the airport." Then he asked Bush: "Do you know how many votes John McCain missed when he was carrying out that furious comeback that you're now modeling [your campaign] after?"
Bush tried to interrupt, but Rubio spoke over him. "Jeb, I don't remember you ever complaining about John McCain's vote record. The only reason why you're doing it now is because we're running for the same position, and someone has convinced you that attacking me is going to help you."

When you've lost Steve Schmidt, Jeb, it's time to withdraw.
Yes. But would anybody notice if he did?
Someone should have asked little yebbie about his son’s campaigning for him on the state of Texas’s dime.
Sure Rubio made a great point about the media bias on this issue, but how in the world does he think he can justify his work record by citing Kerry, Obama, et al?
As far as I am concerned, if he justifies his record to those Democrats, then he executed a field goal attempt by kicking it through the Texas Stadium roof but it actually went backwards and went through the goal posts behind him. Spectacular but it doesnât count.
As for JEB, geez what an embezzle, what an ultra-maroon. Although I wouldnât trust Christie as far as I could throw him, he was like a death star attack on the moronic fantasy football question. Tippie-toes JEB only has a name but thinks he has a crown.

Hey kids...make some room for Jeb!
cant watch Bush without cringing.
Agreed. Jeb was very weak and made himself look like a man-child.
Couldn't happen to a better RINO.
Another good question Rubio could have asked - “Jeb, where were you while Teri Schiavo was being starved to death?”.
“cant watch Bush without cringing.”
I’ll see your cringing, and raise you a double facepalm:

HAHAH.
Rubio is Jeb 2.0
I suspect the next round of polls will look something like Ben Shapiro’s prognostication.
1) Trump
2) Cruz
3) Rubio
I can and will vote for either of the top two. Rubio has a lot of convincing to do for me to waste a vote there
Look what's happened. Jeb sent a plant to that NH rally to ask a rude question which was meant to embarrass Trump. Soon after, Trump started the questions about GWBs presidency and wondering out loud if GWB didn't share some responsibility for 911. Yeah, Jeb went outside the limits of fair play, and Trump showed a real appropriate response.
Look at where it is now. The Bush Dynasty has shown us without ambiguity that they put dynasty above country. Jeb still being in there is destroying not just Jeb, but the reputation of the Bush Dynasty, forever. And now, the top contenders are the ones who are piling it on Jeb.
This makes me even more confident that it's Trump who would be best to "play chess with Putin".
Can’t wait for the announcement that Yeb is pulling out of the race.
You have to believe that Barbara, GHWB and GWB are all counseling him to drop out now. The family name is getting lower by the day ...
Better put some ice on that, Jeb
Marco did Trump a favor and finished off Jeb. Trump finished off Kasich. Somebody had to do it.
