Jeb Bush entered the third Republican presidential debate fighting for his political life.
In the wake of two weak debate performances and crumbling poll numbers, the former front-runner was forced to cut staff and found himself caught in a vacuum of viability.
On Wednesday night in Colorado, Mr Bush at last had an opportunity to reassert himself in the race, but all he managed was to confirm the view of many in the party that his campaign is a lost cause.

Mr Bush's bad night would soon get worse, when he was asked if he would reach across the aisle to make a deal with Democrats on spending.
"You find a Democrat that's for cutting taxes- cutting spending ten dollars," he said, "I'll give them a warm kiss."

There’s still hope for Jeb, he’s doing better than Pataki!
Too bad Barney Frank is no longer the House. I am sure Jeb is disappointed.
Agreed, especially coming from that repulsive fat lump.
So long as Bush stays in the running he is the probable nominee. He is still the Establishment choice. That could change if the Establlishment, the hallowed GOPe, is nudged out of its fog of density enough by his performance or lack thereof sufficiently to determine that Bush is truly an embarrassment to GOPe Principles, or rather to the GOPe Principals and that a shift to probably Rubio is required to save the GOPE good name and the cherished sycophantic relationship to the Democrats.
Jeb is toast. His donors will be pulling out and Mom will be pulling the plug.
