Paul could and should have defended Sen Cruz. He chose to pass up a chance to be a true statesman.
Paul may have had a few good answers, but was one of the 3 net losers of the evening (Paul, Bush, and Trump.)

I thought all of them stuck together pretty well except Jeb. He's a non-issue at this point now and everyone knows it. No kidding. It was downright bizarre to see him taking sides with snarky lib moderators against his fellow Republicans. Et Tu, Jeb? What a horrible display of bad judgment.

Remember when Newt did a similar thing? He’ll get a bump, but that’s all. That was because Newt was all over the place and didn't have any money. That's not the case with Ted.
Once people hear him they'll realize that he doesn't fly around Washington on a broomstick.

Correcting myself, Cruz said the Democrat debate was full of fawning questions like, “Which of you is the most handsome and wise.” I thought it was “and why” but I have read the transcript now.
