Donald Trump is already convinced the CNBC GOP primary debate on Wednesday night will be stacked against him. Despite his long history with CNBC, having been featured in regular segments and flattering specials such as "CNBC Titans" and "Billionaire Inside," Trump told POLITICO and said in two tweets that he thinks the debate would not be fair. "No, I don't expect the debate to be fair," Trump told POLITICO on Monday. "After a great evening and packed auditorium in Iowa, I am now in Colorado looking forward to what I am sure will be a very unfair debate!" Trump tweeted on Wednesday morning, followed by ".@CNBC continues to report fictious poll numbers. Number one, based on every statistic, is Trump (by a wide margin). They just can't say it!" For their part, moderators Carl Quintanilla, Becky Quick and John Harwood have all pledged to be fair and give equal time to all the candidates.

Think I read on this thread that the auditorium holds 11,000 (could be wrong about that number). No, there is no control over who gets in per individual. I don't agree with those who say the audience is stacked against this or that candidate.
This debate was agreed to many months ago by the national Republican Party whose chairman is Reince Priebus. The national party determines how many debates there will be and that was decided months ago before the election season started. They don't/can't pick all the people to come to those debates.
The National Republican Party is made up of a Republican man and woman from every state. I knew the lady from Texas and about a couple of years or ago, she suddenly dropped dead from a heart attack and she had no earlier warning she had a bad heart. It was a real surprise she was gone. I also know the lady now who is our representative to the national party board.
Anyway, that is how debates come about, the decision of how many and where they will be is decided by this board.
Funny Kasich never mentioned a Ford plant in the first two debates, it was always Trump.
