They’re going to try again in 2017 to get weed legalized in Florida by a constitutional amendment.

I’ve said from the beginning that the constitutional amendment process is the wrong avenue for pot legalization, but these idiots keep trying because the legislature won’t hear it despite legalizing “Charlotte’s Web” and other non-hallucinogenic forms of cannabis.

If anyone tells you that they want it legalized for “medicinal purposes,” they’re liars.

I agree. I’ve got more respect for the Colorado crowd who at least acknowledge its for recreation.

Right about now is when somebody chimes in that their Uncle Mullet was sick from chemo, and the weed made him feel better...

...ergo have the twenty something crowd in LA needs a medical weed card.

It does seem that there is quite the national push for complete legalization, on par with alcohol and tobacco.

I’m kind of ambivalent I must admit. On one hand, this isn’t heroin or cocaine we’re talking about its marijuana.

On the other, as someone who has struggled with, at least, a mental addiction to it in the past, it’s not like alcohol. One hit and you’re high. And for me laws against it have been a big factor in helping me stay sober. I can’t believe I’m alone in that regard either.

Whatever though. I do think there are more pressing concerns facing our nation than this.

Guess that makes me a liar, except it’s the truth.

After 20+ years of prescribed meds for severe depression & anxiety & terrible withdrawal when switching meds & never being close to well we decided to give homemade cannabis edibles a try because I was getting worse.

We started in February of this year. Couple of cookies in the late afternoon & one at bedtime. It’s saved us a grand on doctor appointments & pills. I feel better now than I have since the early 70’s. I’m much more productive & sleep light years better than when taking pharma meds. It’s working for me. I have no doubt it works for other folks similarly.

Should have never been criminalized in the 1st place.

That’s a crock of horse-pucky. I have degenerative arthritis of the spine ranging from the middle of my cevicals to the bottom of my thoracic. Hurts to holy hell and I will not take prescription pain killers. I have enough problems in life without having to become an addict. Both my knees were ripped out in 1982 and degenerative arthritis thrives in both. I have neuropathy in both feet and a horrid case of diverticulosis. Pot helps a lot, and you people who continually diss on medical pot use need to be deprogrammed.

Maybe. If the end result is overturning Wickard v Filburn I'd take it.
