These are troubled times for the two Republican golden boys from Florida. Former governor Jeb Bush and Sen. Marco Rubio are seeing their prospects for winning their partys presidential nomination crumble as billionaire Donald Trump and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson lead the polls.
Bush, 62, the scion of a powerful political family, has seen his once promising prospects and fundraising prowess fade after he repeatedly failed to find a voice that could animate his party, show he was truly his own man and transcend his ties to the GOP political establishment.
Rubio, 44, the quintessential young man with strong ties to the Hispanic community, leaped into the presidential contest with less than one full term in the Senate under his belt. Since then, he has been tarnished among conservatives by his previous support for immigration reform, including a pathway to citizenship for millions of illegal immigrants.
Neither man is doing well in the polls: Bush, the one-time frontrunner, scored just 7 percent in the latest Washington Post/ABC News national poll, while Rubio was just ahead of him with 10 percent.

When the boys with the low poll numbers drop out I’m wondering where the votes will go.
That will be the deciding factor. O’Reilly said last night Jeb is staying for the duration, he has the money.
He feels when Huckabee, Christie, Fiorina, Cruz, Paul, Kasinich, Graham and Jindal are gone the polls will shift toward Bush, I sincerely hope not.
Don’t think Carson will last. He hasn’t carried New Hampshire, South Carolina, Florida, Pennsylvania.
It’s hell when one finds out he is not loved.
When Club for Growth went to Trump and asked him for a million dollars and he turned them down, they are like little kids when mommy says no...so to get even with Trump, especially after he published their letter, they are out to get him and the candidate right now is Carson...
I think the GOPe is in bed with them, as we have seen, it was running Carly against Trump, that failed, then it was Bush, and that is really going bad, now it's Carson, and when that fails, it will be Rubio...
I don't know where Trump and Cruz come in together, but I have heard rumors they are helping each other...???....
I have no doubt whatsoever that Trump isn't going to make the nomination, and go on to steamroll shillary, that's how sure I am of Trump....
But their “consultants, handlers” - you know, the people who make a living out of running campaigns even the unsuccessful ones - assured them that being nominated would be a piece of cake.
(These are the same people that keep the grievance industry cranked up.)
I could use stronger words, if I used that kind of language. They are more than MESSES. THEY are RINOS that are Pro-Amnesty, and want these raping muslim refugees imported into the us. Sweden is paying a heavy price for doing so. Gang rape was virtually unknown, as was rape in that country until they let in these animals.
They only benefit dems who they will illegally vote for, because of all the freebies. While our Veterans and Seniors must go to the end of the line and get the least help.
LOL
CBS is the same folks that brought you the fake but true story of how W got a pass to get out of the war.
If they said the stove was hot, I’d put my hand on the burner. (The back side of it, never the front).
RINO’s on the run. :-)
Forget CBS the OAN/Gravis poll is out today and Trump is at 34.7% with Carson trailing at 17%. Similar to Morning Consult. Both use large samples and IMO are more credible.
Trump just got 20,000 in his Fla rally. His support is not slipping. That’s GOPe rumor mill junk.
YES!!!!!!!
LOL
t was running Carly against Trump
I grossly overestimated Carly's performance against Trump, or greatly underestimated the power of the GOPe. I have been able to correctly predict every presidential election since Eisenhower first won. I admit this time is a hard pick, but I will predict one thing, Carson will never be President. I see only a distant outside chance that Cruz will rise enough to be a contender.
Who knows what evil the GOPe can garner up to protect themselves. Even one as old and seasoned as me can not believe how evil they really are. I abandoned the party after they voted to fund Obama Amnesty.
