In three days of operations, the Russian aviation group in Syria has hit 258 targets belonging to the Islamic State and Jabhat al-Nusra terror groups, the Defense Ministry said.

"Over the past three days, the warplanes of the Russian air group have carried out 164 sorties, hitting 285 targets,” Igor Konashenkov, a spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, said Monday.

In the past 24 hours, 59 sorties were carried out, targeting 94 terrorist sites in the provinces of Hama, Idlib, Latakia, Damascus, Aleppo and Deir ez-Zor.

Konashenkov said a large ammunition dump belonging to the Jabhat al-Nusra terror group has been destroyed in Syria’s Damascus province. The two metallic hangars were razed to the ground as munitions inside them detonated following a direct hit by a Russian bomber.

Funny how no one is counting civilian deaths when it’s Russia doing the bombing.

I was just thinking that a few minutes ago.

There has to be a lot of casualties in these strikes. Are they all terrorists?

Obama reminds me of a Chihuahua crawled back up under the couch with his tail between his legs.

Exactly. Same thing when Arabs kill other Arabs, etc.
The “Laws of War” seem to exist exclusively to prevent the US from winning wars.
First thing we need to do is kick most or all the lawyers out of the US Armed Forces
Then we need to use whatever means are at the disposal of the Federal Government and the Serveral States to destroy any lawyers that wage Lawfare on behalf of the enemy.
Finally thing we need the strictest, most limited interpretations of the Geneva Conventions.

“Funny how no one is counting civilian deaths when it’s Russia doing the bombing.”

They didn’t do that while Obama was bombing in Libya, either.

Civilian Casualties/Collateral Damage is only important to the US Media when Bombing-While-Republican.

The same rule applies to reporting about dead American Soldiers. Dead soldiers are only widely reported when they are killed under a Republican President, not a Democrat one.

Ask a lib how many soldiers died under George Bush, and they’ll be able to run off the number from Memory, because MSNBC and the NBC Evening News reported the tally DAILY in their broadcasts, and as Breaking News in the hourly news briefs.

They stopped doing that THE DAY AFTER OBAMA WAS ELECTED. Ask that same lib how many soldiers have died under Obama, and you’ll get a blank stare.

No one ever holds the Russians accountable for their actions. They never have. For some reason, they never will.

Funny how no one is counting civilian deaths when it’s Russia doing the bombing.

Not true, most all the Obama/US Government, Western Drive By Media, NGOs, Socialists and Communists are demonizing and disinforming regarding Russia's anti Islamoterrorist operations.

Just this morning: Human Rights Watch for Terrorists:

Possibly Unlawful Russian Air Strikes. Entire Extended Family (of Rebel leader) Killed in Homs

I love to see resolve in action.

“There has to be a lot of casualties in these strikes. Are they all terrorists?”

No, and who cares? The sane part or the world is not taken with our infantile concept that dedicated bomber aircraft dropping bombs may only kill parties that could be convicted in court. It has lead our air forces to near paralysis and has made our incredible air capabilities to become a laughingstock. Can anyone imagine bombing Germany and Japan with the requirement that only guilty individuals can be harmed?

We would have never won that war.

What is this childish idea that we can only fight and carefully kill guilty individuals? They have no rules at all.
The best way to end this is a sharp, very violent attack. Less civilians will die if an all out attack was made on the rebels, who are ALL jihadi.
That means their finances, their oil, their Toyotas, their positions no matter where they are imbedded, and their mosques.

The Russians are doing fine. The essential problem is that America is actually and literally on the side of the jihadis.

Yours is a reasoned point to make. I’m not as convinced as you that it makes sense here.

If this were a coordinated attack on a city and there was an ongoing campaign, then sure I agree. There is bound to be collateral damage as you try to destroy enemy forces.

If we’re talking about people who live in remote areas of the nation, you shouldn’t level everything indiscriminately.

If you do know an area was clear a few days ago, and all of a sudden forces known to be in the area show up, then sure.

I’m not so much against collateral damage as innocent farmers or some such getting blasted to hell out of the blue.

That’s kind of my position too. But if enemy formations are somewhere, I think they need to be brutally blasted. One of the most insane things I’ve ever seen is that ISIS or Rebels take a large city.
They begin Nazi style executions and reign of terror.
We decline to bomb out of fear that we will hurt the citizens of that town. (as every day is a hell on earth for them)

The only thing that will save them is an all out attack we refuse to perform. Its quite insane and would be impossible to explain to the people in those towns.

We are not on the side of the Jihadis. I am not sure whose side we ARE on. I think we are trying to make everyone happy.

They count alright.. the problem for them is that Russia doesn’t give a flying rats a@#$ what anyone thinks of them. Kinda like how they dealt with those pirates off Somalia a few years back. I know there are a few more dynamics involved so I can’t make a blanket statement, but Russia knows how to deal with dirty muslims. Kill them and think about it later. It’s always been confusing to me as much as they have had muslim problems, why they were in bed with Iran. I guess it’s just to get under our skin or something.

My comments may have meant to you that I thought all those air strikes were wrong headed. I don’t.

As you state, ISIS does need to be brutally blasted. Those guys should be made so nervous that they jump two feet every time a cat goes “meow” out of the blue. If a building creaks, they should be wondering if it’s their last minute of life. Let that wear on them for a while.

If those idiots would spend 1/10,000th of the time they do on terrorism, trying to get their own lives in order and starting and supporting a family, the Middle-East could be a decent place for them to live in.

Instead we see the bloodshed and strife of frustrated malcontents.

I think we are on the side of the jihadis.
1) We openly supplied them hundreds of millions in humanitarian aid consisting of everything an army needs besides weapons.
2) We are 100% in line with their goals of overthrowing Assad and his secular government.
3) McCain and other met with the rebel leaders. All of whom are jihadis.
4) we supply them through Turkey, even training 500 million dollars worth of them.
5) we allow their oil refining and sales to go on unmolested.
6) We supplied them weapons through Benghazi.
7) we are trying everything possible to stop the Russian attacks on them.

Ergo, we support the jihadis.
