Jeb Bush let his agitation show on the campaign trail today when he complained about gridlock and partisanship in South Carolina.

Bush attended a presidential town hall held by Senator Tim Scott, and they were even joined on stage by none other than South Carolina congressman and Benghazi Select Committee chairman Trey Gowdy.

At one point, when he was lamenting the state of partisan politics, Bush said, “If this election is about how we’re going to fight to get nothing done, then I don’t want any part of it.”

He said he would not want to become president just so the gridlock continuesAnd that’s when Bush really got agitated:

“I’ve got a lot of really cool things I could do other than sit around, being miserable, listening to people demonize me and me feeling compelled to demonize them. That is a joke. Elect Trump if you want that.” Watch above, via CNN.

Even those who don't like Trump have to give The Donald credit for smoking out Jeb Bush. Imagine if Trump had NOT entered the race. At this point, instead of Jeb on the verge of pulling out, he would be in the position of consolidation as the other candidates split the vote. He would now be gloating about how the other candidates had their say but now the "rational" thing to do would be to support him. Like Mitt Romney in 2012, he would be the Establishment fallback apparent nominee...and then LOSE in the general election.

And I bet Trump would mention that 4-5 times during the debate! The humiliation would be hard to take.

I can picture Trump turning as if to address Bush, then "noticing" he isn't next to him and then look down the line and wave: "Oh, there you are Jeb. Hi!"

In the alternate universe where Trump did not enter the race, Jeb would be the 2016 nominee who would go on to LOSE to Hillary in the general election. After that Jeb would feel good about himself because the MSM would congratulate him for being a gracious LOSER.
