Aw Carp. I thought it was Maureen Dowd.
Amazing Actress, beautiful lady and classy..that’s something unfortunately you don’t see much of in Hollywood today..the good ones are dying out..RIP Maureen O’Hara
The Quiet Man is one of my top five movies of all time. It’s a shame she died so young. (My Mom is only 95, too)
The original Parent Trap. Loved her movies....all.
She certainly was A very beautiful woman and a great actress.
America lost another great one. RIP.
Rest in Peace, lovely lady.
Don’t forget her as Doris Walker!
“Hi - I’m home. Have you seen my daughter?”
“Yes, she’s visiting with that male stranger in the next apartment.”
“The one who is smoking a pipe?”
“Yes, that’s the one”
“Fine then”
Sigh - can you imagine that in a movie today?
She in the Duke in so many wonderful movies. So sad, but she’s up there now reprising her best roles before our Lord and Savior.
She was one of the Greatest Actresses ever, and one that no matter what the movie, if it starred her, you knew you were going to see it.
Those were the days, when only the first or last name was needed.
Today? first or last name for me only gets "WHO?" There are very few stars today.
She was one of us too.
Think it was her strong moral compass that only fueled her beautiful on-screen/off-screen presence... As well as her political leanings.
RIP...eternally
Nowadays I’ve seen the media more and more refer to females as “actors” also. They are trying to get rid of the term “actress” apparently. It must be in the AP style book to refer to all as “actors” regardless of the sex of the person who is acting.
One of the few actresses who could go head-to-head with John Wayne...and win.
What a great actress and entertainer, loved her movies with John Wayne.
RIP, Katie

Rest in Peace Beautiful Lady
