Still, I’d rather have Assad in charge than ANY group fighting him, besides the Kurds, and i’m not even sure if the Kurds are in this fight.

I know they’re fighting in Iraq and near Turkey.

Assad kept Christians relatively safe and slaughtered muslims who got uppity. who cares about that?

I reluctantly agree. The opposition is either ISIS, or rebels who - if they win - will be pushed aside by ISIS.

It's sort of like the situation in Russia in 1917. Do you prefer the autocratic Tsar, or do you prefer the Bolsheviks?
