Agents found a hole in the floor near a warehouse in Otay Mesa -— a city south of San Diego -- that led to a shaft descending almost 32 feet down in the ground. The shaft connected to an underground passageway, which included lighting, ventilation and a rail system, leading to the U.S.-Mexico border.
We see a super tunnel open for business once every year or so,” U.S. Attorney Laura Duffy told ABC News today. “Just when they think they’re ready to move, we put it out of business.”
The Tunnel Task Force conducted a six-month investigation that revealed the 2,600-foot long tunnel, to be one the largest uncovered along the southern border in recent years.

Otay Mesa is part of the city of San Diego. It is not a city south of San Diego. What a dumb ass reporter. They cannot even get the what, where, and when part of the story correct. Oh, and it is pronounced O-tie as in neck-tie. There are many tunnels from the Tijuana that connect to warehouses in San Diego with loading docks. A nuclear bomb could rolled through one of those tunnels and put into a truck and driven anywhere in the USA.

Six inches of det cord = 1 blasting cap's worth of explosive force. One strand of det cord down the length of the tunnel would probably be really bad government-induced tinnitus and soiled undies without due process.
I hope they bomb the tunnels with radiation that will not be safe for 10,000 years!
