It’s my understanding this morning that she DID admit to the fact that they knew the video wasn’t the cause as they made it to be.
Anyone confirm before I have time to find video of the testimony?
I saw a bit of Anderson Cooper last night interviewing a sister of one of those killed talking about this very thing. Cooper seemed shocked that Clinton knew the video line was a lie but that she stuck to it with the families.
Yes. She was caught red handed via her emails on that question. She wrote to Chelsea right after the attack that it was a planned attack by an Al Quaeda affiliate, and she said the same thing to the Egyptian PM and to the Lybian PM.
Then she sent Susan Rice out to feed the public the video story and confirmed the video theory also with the parents of the slain.
Of course those were communications that were never provided to Gowdy until just recently.
Gowdy nailed her with that revelation, but it didn’t seem to make any difference to the Dem members of the Committee.
I watched nearly all of the testimony with only brief breaks. What I didn’t “get” until it was repeated on Fox & Friends this AM is that poor Amb. Stevens made 600 (SIX HUNDRED) requests for more security that went unheeded. Clinton failed to provide him with her email address, or phone number, (because he didn’t ask for it) and blames him for the fact that no requests got to her personally.
Disgraceful.
Yes, I can confirm .. she was shown the two emails; one to her daughter and one to the President of Egypt .. which stated that it was not the video, but a group like AlQueda.
However, I don’t recall her making any acknowledgement to the reading of those emails.
So .. my conclusion is that she did NOT admit .. I’m going to try to watch some of it this weekend on C-SPAN .. it will be on C-SPAN2 - I think .. but check .. it’s supposed to be on both Sat and Sun at Noon.
