I saw a bit of Anderson Cooper last night interviewing a sister of one of those killed talking about this very thing. Cooper seemed shocked that Clinton knew the video line was a lie but that she stuck to it with the families.
Her excuse was one of her favorites.... “the fog of war” changed the story from her original terrorist attack one to the video story.

What changed her story was the Obama WH telling her to change her story to the video one.
I only saw a bit of the questioning but it was made clear by emails she sent to her family and to the government of Egypt that the attack was not related to the video and that it was a planned attack by an ‘al-queda like group’. I don’t know if that was followed up in any meaningful way.

She’s going to weasel out of this by ‘clarifying’ her remark to now mean “Everything was happening so fast, (even though the attacks took 4 hours- PLENTY of time to figure it all out), that Everyone was confused and I had to report something as there were several possible reasons behind the attacks”
She will likely claim it was ‘so confusing’ and ‘happening so rapidly’ that ‘signals got crossed’ as they ‘scrambled to put the pieces together’
Of course this won’t excuse the FACT that they lied for how many months about it afterwards? But she will likely blame that on dear leader and try to distance herself from that- claiming she was forced to stick to the narrative
