Just saw the commentary by the director /writer, he was a big fan of NASA and he basically started the whole moon conspiracy by accident with this movie. I think it's one of the best conspiracy movies ever. And he does say that the astronauts were killed. I always wondered about that.

I haven’t seen C1 in a long, long time. The commentary sounds interesting and a lot of times I like it as much as a movie. I used to work in TV and I like to hear about the behind the scenes stuff.
