I haven’t seen C1 in a long, long time. The commentary sounds interesting and a lot of times I like it as much as a movie. I used to work in TV and I like to hear about the behind the scenes stuff.

Oh then you would like this. He explains the idea and how it came about. He was a reporter for NASA and as they were doing the moon landing he was watching Cronkite on a mocked up stage showing what the astronats were doing. He kept looking from the monitor and back to the set. and that’s when it hit him.

The scene I remember is Hal Holbrook (who is such a great bad guy) giving the speech about how brave the men were and how they died on reentry. Meanwhile they are on a plane being flown to the landing site.

That’s hitlary, making up the excuse and promoting it while these guys were still fighting the battle.
