This is a typical charismatic Christian manner. I don’t agree there is sound theology behind it, but I understand it and respect his right to do that without calling it lunatic. What mattered more was what was prayed for and taught in that home, not what was “claimed over someone.” I cringe at the latter kind of talk because it presumes on God’s choice of methods.
To me it smacks of amazing arrogance and pride. No one should pretend to know God’s will. Yet both Cruz son and father seem to do that a lot.
We have some indications of what God wants through the Bible and what he doesn’t like but man does not have the grace to know the full mind of God nor is it his place.
