The House Freedom Caucus is almost certainly going to organize against a nascent potential House Speakership bid from House Ways and Means Committee chairman Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) after he began running his mouth on Tuesday evening, several senior House GOP aides close to the process told Breitbart News.
Ryans office confirms to Breitbart News that he is unlikely to move forward with an effort to run for the Speakership if something doesnt drastically change quickly.
He had a shot before he started running his mouth, one senior GOP aide to a senior House Freedom Caucus member said when reached by phone early Wednesday.
The aide said he expects that at least 75 percent of the members are going to oppose Ryan after what Ryan demanded from Republicans in Tuesday evening remarks and in written demands for a potential Speakership bid.
One of Ryans demands was a change to House rules that would significantly alter the ability for members to remove a Speaker using a motion to vacate the chair. That is the mechanism by which outgoing House Speaker Rep. John Boehner (R-OH) was pressed to resign by Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) and its one of the key checks in government that Thomas Jefferson first crafted. Ryans office has scrambled to explain away the demand, and downplay the significance of it, to no avail thus far.

Thanks .. I love these kinds of books .. they explain why we’re in a lot of the messes we’re in.
Why do you think Trump is steamrolling the D.C. establishment?
Delusional and arrogant doesn't begin to describe it.
And Prudent; Prudence (as opposed to duplicity) is sorely lacking in D.C.
In Cuba somewhere?
Or some other banana republic?
You're quite welcome. I got the recommendation myself from another Freeper.
Another fine mess we need to deal with, Ollie, is the 'Climate Change' fraud:
I have collected at least a dozen "global warming" books, and every IPCC report issued so far, and this book is by far the best collection of facts, I have ever found, devoid of opinion or any kind of "PC" filter.
And it's a twofer. As a bonus, it is the most relevant world-wide history of the immediate pre-enlightenment period. Complete and concise. No continent is left out.
It is among the top 4 books in my library both for history and "Climate Change."
I would not recommend it for Kindle users. I have a "paper white" model and immediately decided to buy the hardback paper version. The illustrations, charts and maps are an essential part of the book.
Ignore the "conclusion" chapter. A PC editor clumsily invaded an otherwise perfect book.
Although I have been almost a month reading it, and not quite done, I can't recommend it enough.
I hope you're happy now...
;-)

You'll thank me later...
: )
I have several books and my sister got me started reading them. It proved valuable.
My new Mayor, Kevin Faulkner, sent me an email regarding his re-election. I always vote .. so they target me a lot. However, while I had voted for Kevin the first time, I was not sure I wanted him to stay .. primarily because of his continued talk about “climate change”.
So, I got out my books, and I sent him an email listing all the sources of information I had (and I even offered to deliver my books to him). And .. one of the most important, Dr. Roy W. Spencer, formerly of NASA. The other books that I got the most information from was those of Christopher Horner. One book is, “Red Hot Lies”.
So I summed up my problem with his “climate change”, asking him if his goal was to destroy all the beauty of San Diego? And .. since San Diego seems to be one of the CA cities that is thriving .. did he want his legacy to be the destruction of the city? And, I also told him that if he was to continue this faux climate change stuff, I would not be supporting him for re-election.
Well, I did not get a response .. however, a few weeks later, the Governor arrived for a meeting with our Mayor. I was concerned because there had been a lot of talk about the Governor imposing a mileage tax within the state. SoCal has to be some of the busiest places to drive in the State. But, when their meeting was over, the Mayor and the Governor had a photo-op .. but it really made me laugh .. the picture showed the Gov looking like he had lost his best friend, and the Mayor was grinning from ear to ear. And .. suddenly, the mileage tax was history.
Now, I’m not going to say that my email alone was responsible .. because I don’t believe that. I worked in the TV/Radio business, and I know exactly what it’s like to put out information and have the phones and other sources go wild with people responding. But, it was nice to see that for now .. my Mayor is not ready to allow the Gov to destroy our fair city.
So, for now, I will stick with him .. and I’ll be watching what he does and says.
One really good thing is he has approved solar panels for all city buildings along with county buildings; saving the city and county more than 22 million over a year’s time. I think this is a great use of solar power and how it will save lots of money.
Everybody should challenge this climate change garbage.
Trump is a joke.
No one who is really aware could possibly vote for Trump.
The problems with congress are not something Trump has even considered discussing. No wonder either; there is no way he could come close to understanding since their shenanigans have mostly redounded to his favor.
Remember, he thinks the recent ‘legislation’ from the court has been good. Chances are he feels the same about congress.
