Democratic Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes is promoting the love her job in her first re-election spot of the campaign.

In the 30 second ad Grimes looks directly to the camera promoting her successes in her first term in office.

Grimes nonchalantly talks about her run for U.S. Senate in the ad, and the negative ads run against her in the state.

“The last few years have been noisy in Kentucky,” Grimes says in the ad. “A lot of attack ads. Believe me, I know.”

“But, my job as Secretary of State is to make sure your vote is counted, and that’s a job I love.”

Grimes goes on to promote ballot access measures put in place for voters overseas and an assurance for victims of domestic violence that their address are kept private.

“With your help, I’ll keep working for you,” she says in the ad.

In a press release Grimes’ campaign says the ad is airing statewide as part of a “six-figure” ad buy.

“I am proud of our record of success in the Secretary of State’s office from passing and implementing historic voting initiatives to sweeping improvements for businesses’ interactions with state government,” Grimes said in the release. “I am humbly asking for the support of all Kentuckians because I know there’s still more we can do to build and diversify our economy and to break down barriers to the ballot box.”

Grimes faces Republican opponent Steve Knipper in the Nov. 3 election.

She loves the job so much she ran for another office midway through her term.

America would have benefited greatly, had she been elected a freshmen senator.

Yes, always good to have another Elizabeth Warren clone in power and to reinvigorate the old Lundergan establishment and strong ally of Hillary into prominence to run roughshod over the Commonwealth and get a national platform on top of that. < / sarc >

It’s easy to get rid of a dingbat freshmen senator, almost impossible to rid the nation of a 6 term RINO.

McConnell has done far, far more damage to this country than a random freshman Senator ever could. Surrendering Constitutional authority on treaties, preemtively funding the obama agenda, standing by while his constitutants are assaulted by the Obama admin, etc., etc. McConnell has been a total disaster. Period.

"It’s easy to get rid of a dingbat freshmen senator"

Tell that to the states that had scores of dingbat freshmen Senators that ended up with long careers.
