Actor Liam Neeson, known for his roles in popular action flicks, has recorded a new ad for Amnesty International which calls on Ireland to legalize abortion. The European nation is staunchly pro-life and prohibits killing babies in abortions in virtually every circumstance.
Amnesty International is helping lead a pro-abortion push to repeal the 8th Amendment in Ireland, which has provided legal protection for unborn babies for years. Amnesty International Ireland recruited Neeson, an Irish actor, to do a voice-over for its commercial, which appears below.
In the ad, Neeson essentially says laws protecting babies from abortions are antiquated and should be repealed because human rights for unborn children is apparently an outdated notion. Neeson doesnt appear in the ad, but his unmistakable voice is clearly heard as the narrator of it.
Neeson says: A ghost haunts Ireland. A cruel ghost of the last century It blindly brings suffering, even death, to the women whose lives it touches. Feared by politicians, this is a ghost of paper and ink A constitution written for a different time. It is the shadow of the country wed left behind Ireland doesnt have to be chained to its past. Its time to lay this ghost of rest.
Matthew Archbold of the National Catholic register heard the ad and is very disappointed by Neesons participation in it.
To be fair, the ad was a lot more watchable than Neesons Taken 3. I hope this effort bombs as badly as that movie did.
Make no mistake, the forces of secularization and abortion know who their enemy is, it is the one institution that stands for a radical commitment to love and the sacredness of human life. Europe was built on the back of the Church, I shudder to consider its future once it has eschewed Christianity. It is a sad culture that attempts to demonize an institution that preaches love at every turn and begs people to treat others as they would wish to be treated. I understand they want to turn their backs on the Church and march away. But the real question is, what are they marching towards?
Y'know, because killing the innocent unborn is a human rights issue.
I will not hold my breath waiting for Francis the talking pope to get involved. Once upon a time Ireland was a Catholic country.
“He was raised as a Roman Catholic[5][6][7] and was named Liam after the local priest.[8]” Wikipedia. Possessed by evil?
There’s a lot of that going around. It’s okay though, I’ve been inoculated to ward off MOIV, the murder of innocents virus.
Liam Neeson was never anything but a lukewarm Catholic. I’ve heard he’s now converted to Islam. No kidding.
How does an “Amnesty” group twist their conscience to promote baby killing?
islamists are really into murder.
Oh no say it ain’t so!
Sorry Liam but once you start killing babies you society begins the inevitable slide into collapse. Once a society takes the position that life is not precious is not unique the bad shot begins. Increased suicide especially amongst kids and younger people, increased mass killings, school shootings, decrease in public civility and on and on....
Wait a minute....
This wants to end unnecessary deaths by banning guns but, will wholesale grant immunity and imprimature of serial killers snuffing a baby?
I’m done watching this puke’s movies-
