iran treaty. omnibus passed overnight. nothing done on immigration.

i respect your post, but tell me what has been done?

Benghazi committee?

corker bill reversing 200 year old 2/3 needed?

TPP which turns over some sovereignty to other nations.

are you going to send us the same message when executive action on guns comes down?

i’d rather die with conservatives than live like a slave with republicans while they get rich stealing from us and taking from lobbyists. i wont vote for one again save the presidency. sorry

Is that what you did when you were elected to office?

“(i’m voting for Trump in the hopes that all of his left wing comments were to appease business partners in NY, who are extremely left wing. I’ve had to lie a little about my views to get work in Manhattan. Then once I’m in, i rock and roll, lol)”

Thanks for your perspective on it. I’m hoping he’s really changed those views - or as you suggested, didn’t really have them.

“Had people thought a little instead of listening to the lesser evil idiocy we’d not be in this mess.”

Absolutely right!

And there will be those saying it again- Jeb and Marco aren’t so bad....

It’s time for a hard reset. CWII

Oh forgive me. I didn’t realize I had to be elected to office before encapsulating the action of every successful world leader, general, businessman and dog catcher in the history of the planet.

Best we sit here in full pajamaboy mode and contemplate the transdimensional implications of our collective navel, drinking hot cocoa and talking about Romneycare.

I hope I am stronger if I am one day asked what religion I follow.

But I had to pay the bills. So if I heard comments like “those republicans are destroying the country” during my interview, what could i do?

it wasn’t for money to buy yachts and Maserati’s, it was to pay the bills, including some of mother’s.

I fought back when one said we are worse than Cuba.

Anything REALLY stupid i didn’t accept.

I do have a feeling Trump was in the same boat.

NYC is nuts. I love it at night, but the people are nuts!!

You don’t have to live like a slave. People talked that same nonsense when Clinton was in power. We live in a republic and luckily not a parliamentary system. Things go slowly. Have you ever been elected and tried to reform government? No. It’s not easy.

Understand that for every government program and dollar spent there’s a recipient that will pay dearly to keep that cash flow coming. Why can’t we get rid of the sugar tariff?

Think instead about a blocker. That’s what is being done right now. Bill after bill that Obama and the Dems want passed never move forward, even an inch. On the state level we control full majorities covering nearly half the population of the country. Things are happening there that are making a big deal. Federalism works.

So far here are things that the current GOP Congress has done. Here is a partial list of items Mr. Obama has requested from Congress since the GOP took the House back in 2010:

— The American Jobs Act
— The Paycheck Fairness Act
— An increase in the minimum wage to $10.10 an hour
— An array of gun control measures
— Universal pre-kindergarten education
— A week’s paid sick leave for all
— Higher tax rates on the rich
— A new minimum tax on multinational companies
— Overhaul and expansion of unemployment benefits

It always could be worse. Remember that nearly every article posted to FR comes from the MSM who, as the Democratic/Socialist mouth piece of America, know how to push buttons via headlines, anonymous sources and out right disinformation. Stay on target, elect a GOP POTUS and keep winning for a generation. It’s a long game to get our country back.

“TPP seems like a disaster and will take away some of our sovereignty.

Corker bill was disaster

and H1Bs ouch.

Is there any chance he’s a globalist and fooling us? I liked him so much.”

I think he’s beholden to the money. He hasn’t detailed what he’d do with illegals.

I’m going with the only one that has. I’ve been shouting about illegals ruining this country for 2 decades now, and Trump’s the only one to have a plan.

If seventy five percent of what you said was blocked (it is my fault for not knowing) then I must cede to your argument.

Still, the leaders are pathetic.

And now Ryan? ah.

let’s win 2016.

You’ll find that the myth of dictatorial success is just that, a myth. Real leaders build coalitions of willing people who then execute the vision. What’s the American vision? Even FReepers cannot agree on every item.

Overall: lower taxes, less government works for me. You don’t get there by handwringing at every headline.

If Ryan has the votes without conservatives, then it’s already over. The reality is that the Speaker, in this environment, cannot just dictate. So the best course of action is extract real benefits such as committee assignments and leadership positions and leverage that.

The best generals win battles without have to fight or wield the weight of their authority. Bringing it to bear actually reveals weakness.

Ryan isn’t my first choice, but he’ll fight on many issues we hold dear. It could always be worse. We could have a Dem majority and Pelosi as Speaker allowing Obama’s agenda to continue.

Don’t fall into the MSM disreportage trap. Much of it is a complete lie.

When you control the exec and the legislative agenda and want to spend, spend, spend you have a lot of authority and power. Do you remember the financial crisis? Seriously, it’s like FReepers memories are going bonk.

I’m throwing my lot in with someone who sounded a lot like a democrat the last 10 years,

Like I said, maybe it was the price to pay for doing business in NYC. Believe me, i’ve worked there. I know.

I’ve sold my soul to someone who might be the devil or the savior of our country. God help us.

Get the executive office with the most conservative President we can get and things will start happening. The TEA Party isn’t going away, it’s too broadly distributed and socialism via Democrat is failing all over the country.

Change is coming because what cannot go on will not.

I find that power sat on is equal to doing nothing. No one said be a dictator. Wield the constitutional power of your office fully or GTFO the way for a person that will.

I see nothing remotely controversial in that idea.

I hope you won because you’re right and not because of my argumentative flaws :)
