After 9/11, the planning of which took place during the Clinton years, this country saw 2,688 consecutive days without a successful terror incident. Even Trump’s close friend Clinton can’t make that clam.

GWB effed up in several other areas, but he was at least proactive — and successful — in keeping this country safe after 9/11. The Holy Donald should wise up and keep that in perspective.

I don’t think it was a bad move at all.

1) it highlights how immigration policies contribute to not controlling our borders and reminds everyone about Trump’s uber popular immigration policies

2) it gets us talking about Trump’s most popular issue -immigration

3) it reminds us that some who are running are in favor of the same immigration policies that contributed to the mess we had pre 9/11 and now....and that some of theses people (i.e. bush, Rubio,Carly) actually want our borders MORE open.

4) it brings closet gope into the light by goading them into going pc on trump and having them claim offense just like Nancy pelosi.

5) it makes bush in particular argue for the unpopular immigration policies in question!

Trump may not get the nod but the silly, middle school “thinking” that tries to bring him down only continues to show he understands things better.

Whatever it takes to eradicate the Bushes. If we have to hang 9/11 around the necks of Jeb and W then so be it. This is about the survival of this nation and the Bushes have been paramount in its destruction for the last 35 years. They need to be driven deep into the ground and made so that no right thinking American will ever vote for a Bush again. Republicans never get this simple concept except when RINOs destroy conservatives. Stooges like Leon Wolf don’t like the tables turned on them.

I agree

Just because you quote someone doesn’t mean you like or agree with it. How many times a day do we see Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals referred to or quoted around here? All the time...

Absolutely. Even though my vitriol is aimed at countering the points you have articulated to her sorrow, I still pray for ALL here. Bitterness is a horrible dark thing, but when it comes to being able to counter it, you have to go into the temple, so to speak. She finds a certain amount of solace here because if she did not we would not be hearing from her at all. When I have agreed with her I am quick to voice my approval.

Is she reaching out? If she is, wonderful, although it is a long distasteful slog back and only achievable with retrospect instead of scorn for her part. Kinda reminds me of the Nicholson scene from “A Few Good Men” that we all know so well about truth.

Jeb! was Governor as Fla flourished as the crime capital of the US.

<><> Fla is at the epicenter of Medicare/aid fraud---Fla crooks sucking out billions of tax dollars.

<><> Fla is known as the state w/ the most flagrant voting fraud.

<><> Fla was host to massive mortgage fraud that led to taxpayers forced to bail out the banking industry.

<><> AND THIS---9/11 terrorist Mohamed Atta's Fla driver's license:

At first I thought this was Trump-Hating National Review until I realized it was Trump-Hating Red State.

Walker was sent packing after a pathetic campaign.

Who are you supporting now? ...your 2nd choice?

...And 'W' attacked Cruz, not Trump...

"Curiouser and curiouser", said Alice.

Cruz beat a Bush Machine pick in Texas.

Same scenario with the Bush Machine going after Rick Perry.

Not curious at all. It's predictable.

...So the ineptitude compounds in Trump's eyes: Bush through his myopia on immigration opened the gates for the 9/11 terrorists, and that mistake propelled him into a second mistake, the invasion of Iraq."...

I must part company with you here. You're shoehorning your Trump divining into a truncated time frame.

It doesn't compute.

But beyond this latest boast?

Then what?

Eminent domain?

Universal Healthcare?

Higher Taxes?

Union shops flourish?

Bigger government?

What?

http://spectator.org/articles/64409/stand-something

“...Is there a candidate in this race (including Donald Trump, about whom more in a moment) who stands for so little other than her own desire for power? Bernie Sanders is a nut, and Joe Biden not far behind, but at least they believe in something; I cannot name a single fundamental principle regarding the proper role of government which Mrs. Clinton deeply believes and which she has consistently held dear. I defy you to find a Clinton supporter who can find such a principle either.

Speaking of cynical behavior and loose attachment to principle, how about The Donald? This week’s breathless media focus is on Trump’s strange (and, at least for most Republicans, politically unwise) unsubtle assignment of responsibility for the 9/11 attacks to former President George W. Bush, triggering applause from liberals and a furious response from the current Bush family candidate for president.

But the still-simmering family feud has overshadowed a more important — and more presidentially disqualifying — statement by Mr. Trump, made on Fox News Sunday: when asked about his willingness to “shut down the government” (a period during which most important functions of government continue to operate) over the debt ceiling Trump’s answer was, “I don’t want to say. I want to be unpredictable.” Anchor Chris Wallace asked a follow-up question regarding shutting down the government to end Planned Parenthood funding to which Trump reiterated, “I want to show unpredictability.”

Does Mr. Trump not realize that this isn’t football or a Hollywood cliffhanger, where half the fun is not knowing what’s going to happen?...”

Twinkie’s not thrilled with Trump. So far, I like Cruz;
but nobody cares what Twinkie thinks. . but, having
said that . . Twinkie will crawl over broken glass to
get to the polls to vote against anyone from the
Democrat party - Hitler-y or any of them!

It’s very telling that both Trump and Hillary-Sanders-et-al are running against G.W.Bush’s presidency and ignoring 6.5 years of the Obama presidency that have followed.

Apparently the entire GOPe, starting with Boehner & McConnell, including all the GOP candidates but Trump & Carson (a stealth socialist), are themselves huge fans of Michael Moore, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, & Barack Obama, as they have done NOTHING to oppose their nation killing agenda.

The bottom line for me: If the GOPe nominee wins the nomination & Presidency, we can expect the further decline of the nation, bigger government, more spending & waste, increasing debt, continued cronyism & incompetence in the Federal government. It will be merely a Clinton Lite Presidency.

I’m betting that Trump, an independent (of the GOPe) outsider, not bought & paid for by big money interests, can stop the elitist control of our government & make a serious dent in the incompetent bureaucracy.

I figure I have nothing more to lose at this point as even if a President Trump is a poor president he could be no worse than Jeb, Carly, Marco, Chris, John, or Ben, while the GOPe will have received a deserved beat down within the party.
