The expiration date is 09-11-01. It would have to be one big coincidence if it were true.

I thought their passports/visa were already expired at that point.

go try it yourself and report back. when we say drivers license to board a plane we mean some kind of ID. I’m sure hey had Arab IDs , not sufficient to get them on board.

a drivers license clerk followed 14 years ago and the very real and significant threat of illegal immigration under Obama today.
If you enter the US legally, under the visas they were issued, you are usually required by state law to obtain a state drivers license within 30 days of taking up residence. They were legal immigrants, and it was illegal under Florida law for them to reside in Florida and drive on a Saudi license.
You present your passport and visa, take the required driving and written tests, and they issue you one.
I don’t understand why Freepers wanted Bush (representing the government) to step in and override accepted law in that state.
Seems like that is the opposite of what we claim we want.
Sure, I know that in this emotional case (Schiavo) no one wanted Terri to be starved to death. Also there was plenty of skullduggery going on.
Still, I think that the problem was not Bush’s lack of intervention, but the laws that we allowed in place that enabled the whole thing.

Does anyone here really believe that these determined 9/11 terrorist hijackers would have said "Aw shucks!", cancelled their hijack plans after years of preparation and gone home to report their failure if a couple of them couldn't get Florida drivers licenses?
It is good we are being reminded that handing out drivers licenses and ID’s to illegals was a stupid idea prior to 9/11 and it is an even stupider idea today.
It just keeps getting worse for Jeb.
So they can vote for the Democrats. If you have a DL, most places will let you register and vote, no more questions asked.
