Trump gets endless mileage from not being bought by special interests, PACs, lobbyists, etc.. That is the core of his candidacy and hard to beat!

Fox is promoting Trump too. Remember, he was boycotting Fox, then he went on dozens of their shows. He was on O’Reilly last week bragging about pandering to illegals.
Good point. My gut feeling, from POV of a 5 decades long political junkie, is that there is excitement and Energy in the Trump campaign based on “make America great”, which has been missing since Ronald Reagan. No other president since Reagan constantly pushed that theme. It is resonating in a YUGE way!
That never made them change before. They know he’s down with their agenda.

A Trump State-of-the-Union address is going to be something to see.
One thing he does that impresses me is that he says we, us a lot instead of I, me. Small thing I know but he includes all of his audience in what will be done, can be done.
