To quote Buddy Holly:
Well, that’ll be the day, when you say goodbye
Yes, that’ll be the day, when you make me cry
You say you’re gonna leave, you know it’s a lie
‘Cause that’ll be the day when I die

This is actually good for the Conservatives. Boehner lingering after ‘resigning’ could not be a bigger and more apt symbol of pervasive GOPe dysfunction.

What about the motion to vacate chair?

Was that just a Kabuki Dance by conservatives or are they
actually serious?

Obama could just appoint his horse for the position.
It’s not like the GOP would actually stop him.

I have a feeling that Caligula’s horse probably had more brains than the humans in Roman senate.

The GOP, treasonous, with a systematic history of lying,
EXEMPT and complicit 110% with Obama’s antiAmerican schemes
... lies again.

Is anyone surprised?

Anyone?

“What about the motion to vacate chair?”.

This is what I don’t get. Mo Brooks is a member of the House Freedom Caucus (HFC). Boehner said that he was going to retire at the end of the month. They had an opportunity to elect a new Speaker and Boehner ended up postponing the election.

Vacate the chair and force the Republicans to elect a new Speaker. The HFC needs to stand united and follow through with what they said they were going to do. Their credibility is on the line.

How about we all refuse to vote for a republican for anything until Boehner is gone? I’ve had it with the republican party.

Credibility ? When did they last have that ? 2011 ? 2004 ? We are being governed by a pack of thieves. Revolution is coming.

He said “could” not “will” or “likely”. If I were Boehner I’d just walk away and leave the Speaker position vacant. The establishment Republicans will just team up with the Democrats and pass what they want anyway, which is no different than what would happen if Boehner was there.

They had an opportunity to elect a new Speaker and Boehner ended up postponing the election.

The new speaker would have been Kevin McCarthy.

“The new speaker would have been Kevin McCarthy.”.

No. McCarthy quit. I was referring to Rep Webster and Rep Chaffetz.
