Now that I think about it, I didn't move to that area near Salerno's til 1992. So the film I saw them shooting must have been some other one. The restaurant had real old-school charm. I think it was used in several movies.

According to henry hill, that scene of jimmy berating the others for spending their loot on flashy things was a bunch of nonsense invented for the movie. They were openly buying themselves nice things and they didnt care who was watching.
