I suppose the password was ‘abc123’? You call that hacking?
If the man running our spy agency still has an AOL account, he are screwed.
D*** it! Don’t post sensitive data like that on an open site like FR!!
We are screwed, not he.
A stoner once told me he “hacked into shell oil’s corporate network” I dismissed him as a junky loser. But seeing what this pot head did, I should have taken him more seriously.
I think the password was ‘12345.’
My grandson (who is NOT a stoner) is a member of Jr. NROTC. They have a program in “white hacking” where they study trying to hack into corporate and govt. accounts in order to check for vulnerabilities. He has a thank you letter from his Senator and from his Congressional Representative (both Republicans) comending him for some work he did last year. He’s hoping to parlay that into a commission to Annapolis, or to the AF Academy.
Honest people who are comfortable with being legally accountable for their actions use their work email account for all work communications.
Yeah, not all potheads sit around playing video games all day. Some of them sit around hacking stuff all day :)
See # 11
Make an example so the next guy who finds a vulnerability keeps his mouth shut and just sells the info.
My BIL works for a large bank and his job is to try to hack into accounts as part of the banks security program
[I cant believe he did this to the head of the CIA, the source added. [The] problem with these older-generation guys is that they dont know anything about cybersecurity, and as you can see, it can be problematic.]
Even some not-that-old aren’t hip on cybersecurity. I’ve tried to deal with it, quite unsuccessfully in one particular instance. Duh was the operative word.
“Yeah, not all potheads sit around playing video games all day. Some of them sit around hacking stuff all day :)”
They got bored with solving crossword puzzles.
BADA-BING !
Bill Clinton’s CIA Director John Deutch also had a nonchalant attitude about government secrecy.
