Over the past few months of the 2016 presidential cycle, DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz has come under heavy fire from her own party for favoring former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton over other candidates in the Democrat primary. In the past two weeks, Wasserman-Schultz has come under extra criticism for allegedly disinviting DNC Vice Chairwoman Tulsi Gabbard to the first Democrat debate in Las Vegas after Gabbard dared to suggest the DNC should hold more primary debates, especially since they've been requested by candidates running for the White House.
Now, Wasserman-Schultz is under fire again and this time, she's being accused of lying and not being capable of handling the job as chairwoman. From the New York Times:
R.T. Rybak, the former mayor of Minneapolis and a vice chairman of the Democratic National Committee, on Thursday accused the partys leader, Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz, of making flat-out not true statements about another top party officer, questioned her political skills and said he had serious questions about her suitability for the job.
In a series of televised interviews on Monday and Tuesday, Ms. Wasserman Schultz suggested that Ms. Gabbard was causing an unwelcome distraction by drawing attention from the presidential candidates, and insisted that she had indeed consulted with the partys officers before scheduling the debates.
In a telephone interview Thursday, Mr. Rybak weighed in angrily in response, expressing shock that Ms. Wasserman Schultz would knowingly say something that is flat-out not true.
This is not a back-and-forth between a chair and a vice chair, he said. This is a chair of the Democratic Party wrongly stating that she consulted with all of the party officers. I was not consulted. I know that Tulsi Gabbard was not consulted. And this is becoming about much more than debates.
I am seriously questioning whether she has the capacity to do what has to be done, he said of Ms. Wasserman Schultz. And thats why Im doing what I wanted not to do for a long time, which is go public with my serious questions of whether she can lead this party.
Before the 2014 midterm elections, where Democrats eventually lost the majority in the Senate to Republicans, there were rumblings Wasserman-Schultz would be called to resign. We later learned the Chairwoman planned to accuse President Obama of anti-Semitism and sexism if he asked her to leave her position.
According to people who spoke with her, when she sensed Obama was considering replacing her as chair in 2013, she began to line up supporters to suggest the move was both anti-woman and anti-Semitic. Under fire last fall for her leadership, she took Obamas decision not to remove her then as evidence of renewed strength and said she was confident no one could get her out of the DNC before her term is over at the beginning of 2017, according to sources whove spoken with her. Shes also been known to joke around the office about how having a vacation home in New Hampshire might one day be helpful in a presidential run.
I'll leave you with this.
Debbie Wasserman Schultz Doesn't Know What a Socialist Is
She is wearing WAY too much eye makeup. She looks like a clown.
C’mon. Being a liar NEVER disqualifies you if you’re a Democrat. It’s considered a resume enhancer.
Debbie Wassername-Schultz is a perfect fit for the DNC - She’s ugly, she’s shrill, she lies her ass off, she is unafraid to launch the most outrageous and unjustifiable charges knowing nobody will ever question her, she is stridently pro-abortion and would sell out her own mother for political expediency.
Did I mention she lies her ass off?
True.
Too bad no one's laughing. Laughing at, maybe jeering.
That's funny, the "fellow democrats" never minded her being a liar before.
Several years ago I got lambasted for speaking ill of sodomites on here. Funny I hear so called “old timers” talk about how it used to be better on here but I disagree. I first signed in around 2002 but I rarely used login and forgot it when I changed computers and addres.
The site was much more PC back then.
I want to thank Katie Pavlich for having the courage to use the word “Democrat” .. instead of “Democratic”.
I was hoping my constant use of the actual word “DEMOCRAT” .. would spark a light in somebody’s brain.
I should have known it would be somebody like Katie.
Whoooo Hoooooo!!!!
She’s a major in the army, 2 tours in Iraq, look at her Twitter—I’d vote for her, she is a total stud and does not sound like a lib dem at all. Some balls, and we need more balls on our side. And being hot is a plus.
FLA...mostly curt kind of people; South Carolina, one of the nicest places and people I have ever met; North Carolina reminds me a lot of New Jersey, New York; Maine is half and half; Texas is a great state, fun loving people there; California, sorry but most of them are half wits; Montana-Idahoe-Wyoming are old time old ways people and I love em; Utah, where I live now (was born and raised here) wouldn't say ‘poop’ if they had a mouth full; Nevada-Arizona are usual democrats, they lie a lot...
That's been my experience anyway...but we need to say what we feel, we have that freedom and we should use it...
WTF? I thought lying was a rat resume enhancer.
It’s not the lying they are mad at, it’s the losing. Probably more the losing of donors than elections, since they’ve been doing that for a while under her watch.
The Hellmann's is strong with this one.
“The Washrag”
LOL..I like it.
She is a clown

DNC Debbie was doing just fine (lies & all) until Rybak decided he wanted her job ... or so I’ve heard.
I agree with you. First they start off as politicians and the prerequisite is to be a good liar. And as they move up in the democrapic party they refine their lyeing skills. Therefore, the top democraps are the biggest liars.
Also too much 10W30.
I thought being a liar was a prerequisite for the job?
