Jeb Bush: 'Does Anybody Actually Blame My Brother For 9/11?'

Republican presidential candidate and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush on Sunday discussed comments GOP rival Donald Trump made about his brother and former President George W. Bush.

And one point in the interview he asked, "Does anybody actually blame my brother for 9/11?"

Trump had implied in an interview Friday that he thought George W. Bush had some responsibility in the terrorist attacks Sept. 11.

“He was President,” Trump said. “Blame him, or don’t blame him, but he was President. The World Trade Center came down during his reign.”

Bush also responded to the comments on CNN's "State of the Union" Sunday.

"Does anybody actually blame my brother for the attacks on 9/11? If they do they're totally marginalizing our society," Bush said. "It's what he did afterwards that matters."

After Condoleeza Rice sat there in front of the commission and said, like butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth, “we never DREAMED anyone would hijack an airplane and fly it into a building” I knew they were either lying or stupid beyond comprehension. ANd I know it’s not the latter, because protocols definitely existed for the hijacked plane into building scenario.

W himself said on Oprah that it was “his responsibility.” Blame isn’t the right word. He didn’t cause it-—evil whackjob Islamic terrorists did. But unfortunately, he was in office when it happened and that is undeniable, just like I don’t blame FDR for Pearl Harbor-—but he was in office when it happened, so it was on his watch.

I first blame the moozlums who did it. I then cite our various “leaders” for their incompetence and failures before and after. Lots of incompetence and fecklessness.

I blame the elites for believing Islam is the “religion of peace” and for letting terrorist enter our country to learn to fly airplanes and to infiltrate our colleges.

So, yes, I blame the Bush family for their “New World Order” plans that took away American patriotism and our will to survive.

911 was really easy to predict if one was not wrapped up in "kinder and gentler" fantasy dreams of being a "good person".

He had 8 months to immediately secure the border and bring a halt to illegal immigration and he did nothing.

The day after 9/11 he re-opened the Mexican border and relaxed all extra border constraints, and illegal immigration proceeded unabated.

GWB was om office EIGHT MONTHS before 911. You'd think that well before that there would've been procedures in place to protect the Pentagon from aerial attack, at the very least. Then there's the matter of accepting "refugees" from places with pro-Muslim movements going on. Anti-invasion policies for the US would've kept the Tsarnov maniacs out of the US.

Clinton bears a lot of responsibility. Al Qaeda and Saddam hit us several times during Clinton’s time and he pretended it didn’t happen.

And America wasn’t prepared to do what was necessary to prevent it. Proof being they elected and reelected the guy. And what is scary, a lot of America still isn’t prepared to do what is necessary to prevent the next one. Proof being, they elected and reelected the muslim communist. America still doesn’t get it.

Which brings us to Trump. Trump is wrong about GW, and he’s wrong about Saddam. But people have a sense that Trump will make sure we don’t get hit, and if we do get hit, they believe he will make the perps rue the day they were born.

War is coming. The next president will be a war president, like it or don’t. Trump and Cruz both seem to understand that. I’m not sure any of the others do.

How do we know just how many attacks were thwarted? Could it be that there were no such attacks planned, because 9/11 was effective enough?
