Andrea! Haven't you seen enough movies and tv programs where the good-person wounds the bad-guy and the bad-guy manages to come back and cause another thread?

Shooting to wound only gives the assailant another opportunity to do his mayhem. Seldom do assailants attack with intention of only wounding their intended victim.
