Cue the Rockumentary theme on Turntable #2!

The San Remo Golden Strings: “Festival Time”

The lead singer was Leonard Borisoff (b. 1942), a.k.a. Len Barry, who was to have a fine solo career a few years later. He would end up as an ace producer in the early days of the Philadelphia Sound of the Seventies.

I have not seen snow, but it is very cold this weekend.

Sorry your Mom fell - thank God she did not get hurt. Falling is a big concern as we age.

Stay warm and get some rest. HUGS

#15: Tony Orlando: “Bless You”

Michael Cassavitis (b. 1944) started singing doo-wop, recorded a few small hits, and then ended up as a vice president at CBS Records. But he couldn’t get the showbiz bug out of his system. Over the years he formed Wind, which had one hit in 1969, and then he hit the jackpot with Dawn in the Seventies.

When I covered the songbook of Brill Building composers Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil, this song figured prominently.
