The Chinese sent advisers and weapons to Syria, thus they do have a small presence there. As far as getting actively into the fight, we will have to wait until after the US buzzes their fake islands in the South China Sea. I suspect that China will use that provocation, plus a few terrorist attacks by the Uigars, as justification for wider action in Syria.
I do suspect that China will play a more active role in Iraq with their oil field workers being there.
