Thank you.

Not at all. Thank you. Whatever mistakes George Bush may have made, I'll never be persuaded that he was anything but a good, decent, and even courageous man. He certainly didn't deserve the lies told about him by Rather, Mapes, and many others in the collaborationist press.

The whole episode was enormously exciting and great fun while it was unfolding, during what I often fear lately were the best days of FRee Republic. Seldom are we presented with a such a golden opportunity to expose the treachery of our adversaries. Sometimes, even when we are, it's impossible to convince the low information voters of what we've shown [Clinton's Impeachment, the "Red Scare", ... and so many other historical installments come to mind.] Occasionally, we succeed at both, as was true in this particular case.

You should be enormously proud of the part you played in the unraveling of the tapestry of deceit they tried to weave, and in the consequences they had to face as a result.

Unfortunately, as those of us who study history or who have lived to a certain age know very well, the Left is relentlessly mendacious and their war against the truth never ends. So from time to time you'll be called upon to reiterate that Mary Mapes and Dan Rather were proven to be liars, and no revision of history can ever change that fact.

Thanks for your latest contribution to the saga. The piece is interesting, well-written, and above all, it is the truth.
