On Tuesday, Sen. Rand Paul, a candidate for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination, took some questions on a livestream about his campaign. One of the questions he fielded was one that was the third-most popular on Google, which was, “Is Rand Paul still running for president?” “Uh, I don’t know,” Paul replied. “Wouldn’t be doing this dumbass livestreaming if I weren’t. So yes, I still am running for president. Get over it.”

Rand Paul serves up large helping of WTF
Paul spent much of Tuesday being filmed by his campaign staff as part of a stunt to broadcast an entire day on the campaign trail in Iowa on UStream, a live-streaming platform.
It was clearly not the senator’s idea, as he made clear repeatedly.
As he was walking through the corn field featured in the movie “Field of Dreams,” Paul was asked by a reporter why he was live-streaming the entire day.
“I wish I knew,” Paul said. “I’ve been saying, I don’t want to do this, I don’t want to do this. And now we’re doing this.”

Oh my. Losing key people. Clue!
I have a bit of a libertarian streak in me, so I appreciate the Pauls occasionally, but they so obviously don’t like anyone, it’s hard to get enthused. While not as quirky as his father, Rand doesn’t have leadership skills that I’ve seen and I never took him seriously as a candidate as I have Walker, Cruz and Trump.
Dumbass, indeed.
