Yes, the Terps for Bernie love Bernie. But just as important in this race, many just don't like Hillary. What young and idealistic college student would? Sanders inspires their passion about inequality, about climate change, money in politics, gay rights. Clinton doesn't.
"She's the epitome of the establishment and the corrupt politicians, and there are so many things to dislike about her," said J.T. Stanley, a senior who is one of the co-founders of Terps for Bernie. "My number-one issue is money in politics, because we can't do anything about global warming until we get the money out of the system. That's my single issue, and that's why I despise Hillary. She's the devil."

If they "Give" her the nomination will Bernie run Indy??
**DRUDGE POLL** WHO WON THE FIRST DEM DEBATE ‘16?
SANDERS 54.87% (158,835 votes)
WEBB 25.14% (72,771 votes)
CLINTON 8.51% (24,636 votes)
O’MALLEY 7.12% (20,604 votes)
CHAFEE 4.36% (12,611 votes)
That’s my single issue, and that’s why I despise Hillary. She’s the devil.”
wow a young liberal thinks Hillary is the devil???
Ouch, Hillary......
It sounded canned and out of left field, when Hillary said who could be more of an outsider than a woman president, when she is the very personification of a political insider. How many people believed her when she said being a woman president means she is an outsider????
We should be legitimately concerned about Sanders winning the nomination. Clinton is a sleaze who would say anything to win. Sanders is a true believer - deep down, maybe not so deep, he wants people frog marched into the re-education camps to have the people changed. She only wants more power.
We should NEVER want a true believer leftist in office. Even if that means rooting for Clinton over Sanders.
Other online post-debate polls have Sanders in the 60’s and 70’s. He got seen and approved as a viable candidate last night, and it’s basically a two-way race now, with Sanders by far the most interesting to any Democrat who is tired of Hillary and looking for a new crush.
Bernie Sanders in 1981, a few months after being sworn in as mayor of Burlington, Vermont Donna Light/AP
Sometime in the late 1970s, after he'd had a kid, divorced his college sweetheart, lost four elections for statewide offices, and been evicted from his home on Maple Street in Burlington, Vermont, Bernie Sanders moved in with a friend named Richard Sugarman. Sanders, a restless political activist and armchair psychologist with a penchant for arguing his theories late into the night, found a sounding board in the young scholar, who taught philosophy at the nearby University of Vermont. At the time, Sanders was struggling to square his revolutionary zeal with his overwhelming rejection at the pollsand this was reflected in a regular ritual. Many mornings, Sanders would greet his roommate with a simple statement: "We're not crazy."

“Democrats” now means “SOCIALISTS.” There is no other way about it - Hugo Chavez is the future of the Democrat Party.
Webb seemed so out of place. He had a Democratic message - if he were running for office in 1954.
Wonder what the viewer demographics were...
Disclaimer first: I’m currently reading ‘The Naked Communist’.
Just me? or does Bernie defend his positions the way Marx would? Class struggle. Incoming inequality.
For me, the line of the night actually came from Hillary:
“I know we can afford to, because we’ll make the rich pay for it!”
At least they’re being honest about some stuff. Scares the @#$%@ outta me that people support them.
Yawn, we saw the same thing with Howard Dean.
The Democrat Socialist Communist Party
I would take Sanders over Clinton any day. I would take almost anyone over Clinton. At least we know where Sanders stands. Hillary is Gumby but much scarier.
Isn't he already? He's not a democrat.
Bernie has already said that he won’t run Indy.
Cause that would hand the White Hut to EEEEEEEEVIL Republicans.
Sanders has a more coherent message than Dean did, and is more credible on the stump. (There will be no “yeeerrrrauggggh!” from Bernie.) Philosophically Sanders wants to channel FDR, and is doing a pretty good job of it so far. He is selling socialism to huge base that has discovered they like the sound of it. He could very well win the nomination in the primaries, especially if Biden stays out. The Republicans need to start thinking about what it will be like if they wake up one morning and find they are running against a full-blown socialist populist.
Hillary is the Queen of Corruption. Sanders may be a Socialist, but I don’t think he’s anywhere near as corrupt or vindictive. There are some rumblings about his wife & a loan related to where she worked .... got to be oppo research from the Clinton campaign that they’re releasing to try to hurt Bernie. If that’s all they have on him, he’s lily-white compared to the Clintons, but I’m sure there’s more dirt coming.
Exactly, they are willing to suspend logic to get this done...
Zombies
I think Webb helps show how much the democrats have veered left.
Sorry. My quote was a little off. In context, ‘it’ was family leave, but, IMO, this approach applies to everything she wants to do.
Here it is from the transcript:
HRC:
We should not be paralyzed — we should not be paralyzed by the Republicans and their constant refrain, “big government this, big government that,” that except for what they want to impose on the American people. I know we can afford it, because we’re going to make the wealthy pay for it. That is the way to get it done.
