State workers like these are often disdained, Jon Ortiz writes, while state employees such as firefighters and CHP officers are celebrated. Firefighters and police are necessary and perform needed services. State workers "like these" tend to be obstacles to getting things done and presenters of bills for things that shouldn't even be.

Unfortunately in California the CHP has become a revenue collecting agency for the state.

Why do the private sector folks have disdain for state workers in California? The same reasons they have disdain for state workers in every other state............oh and the federal government too!
