This video is of a NBC Nightly News report on Cecile Richards testifying to Congress on Planned Parenthood recently. It's a textbook case of secular-humanist media bias, so a good one to take a close look at:
As Lester Holt introduces the report, there are some distant, hazy shots of pro-life activists holding signs. Holt's introduction focuses on the day's hearing almost entirely, barely mentioning what the whole matter was even about. He says the hearing was “contentious,” with Cecile Richards “offering a spirited defense,” just before Kelly O'Donnell's report begins.
But with Holt's introduction completely devoted to the “contentious” hearing, it's a surprise when O'Donnell's report doesn't begin with it, but instead with scenes of pink-wearing, pro-Planned Parenthood activists, which go on for over twenty seconds. There are also a couple of soundbites from Planned Parenthood supporters on the organizations supposed “life-saving” work.
Then O'Donnell's report shifts to the day's hearing, which is portrayed as a five-hour grilling of poor Cecile Richards. A couple of intense exchanges are shown, but they don't reveal much. Rep. Jason Chaffetz is asked to yield, but refuses, and Rep. Mia Love repeatedly asks Richards about how much Planned Parenthood makes from abortions, and Richard's face conveys confusion.
Then O'Donnell “explains” that Planned Parenthood is “under political fire,” and Republicans want to cut its funding, a situation “stoked by controversial undercover videos” (from which a still is shown, but no dialogue is excerpted, of course).
Then there is an exchange of soundbites over the videos that Planned Parenthood must have hoped would make the nightly news broadcasts, and NBC was sure to include:
Rep. Jim Jordan asks Richards why, if the allegations were untrue, she apologized. Richards replies, shiftily, that “Well, Congressman, first, I think everyone has agreed that they were heavily edited.” Jordan isn't shown challenging that remark, but in reply simply repeats his question. The implication is clear that it's been established that the videos were deceptively edited. And as Jordan repeats his question, he talks over the rest of Richard's remark, in which she adds to “everyone” who “has agreed (the videos) were heavily edited,” “certainly even the perpetrator agreed.”
Then the report shows onscreen in banner text the “statistic” “2.7 million each year,” referring to the those “served” by Planned Parenthood, noting that they are “mostly low-income women.” That's followed by “327,000 abortions,” the number Planned Parenthood does in a year, and “NO FEDERAL MONEY FOR ABORTION,” ignoring the benefits that receiving federal money provide to the abortionists. O'Donnell next says, and it's also shown onscreen, that Planned Parenthood gets $530 million a year in taxpayer help, much of it through Medicaid, “for services like health screenings, birth control, and breast exams.”
Following this, there's a soundbite from Richards telling Congress that Planned Parenthood doesn't get a big check from the government, but is simply reimbursed for services provided, like other providers who accept Medicaid.
Finally, a couple of Democratic Congressmen also contribute soundbites of “moral outrage” against the attacks on Planned Parenthood. Rep. Carolyn Maloney stoked fears of how “women would be denied healthcare” without “this life-saving service.” Rep. Gerry Connolly goes even further to defend Richards: “The disrespect, the misogyny rampant here today, tells us what is really go on here.”
In response, GOP Rep. John Duncan tells Richards she doesn't want them to go easier on her for being a woman, and she agrees, saying “that's not how my momma raised me.”
O'Donnell then concludes by saying that while Republicans threaten to shut down the government over Planned Parenthood, PP has “strong support” in an NBC poll, and adds that Republican leaders expect no government showdown or changes in funding of Planned Parenthood.
All-in-all, it was a three-minute report with almost no true content, but for spinning things towards Planned Parenthood. The actual allegations weren't even discussed, even briefly.

What about that wall to wall coverage on the poll saying 73% of people favor funding Planned Parenthood?
Everyone has been parroting that since last week.
Down about on page 10 of Google you find that they actually agree that: “The federal government should continue funding poor and minority women’s healthcare.”
I can’t believe that these PP people can set in a congressional hearing and FLAT out LIE; saying the videos were heavily edited when nothing could be further from the truth, and at the same time say they never even saw the videos.
So basically go F-yourself to the republican looser leadership and no one has the decency to call her out as a despicable Liar to her face on TV.
What do you expect? These are the same people trying to dismiss Clinton’s scandal as a witch hunt.
Never mind the fact that evidence was destroyed about classified information, which related to the illegal arming of terrorists we are ostensibly at war with that KILLED 4 Americans.
Yep, and NBC knew to run with that clip, and let it stand as if it were the truth.
Its whole report was one long propaganda piece for Planned Parenthood.
“Secular humanism is a comprehensive, nonreligious lifestance incorporating: A naturalistic philosophy. A cosmic outlook rooted in science. A consequentialist ethical system.”
I’ve starting using “secular humanist” over “liberal” as much as I can because it seems the former term is a little closer to the truth, which is their denial of Jesus Christ.

It’s amazing how brilliantly “scientific” these folks feel, while as they pontificate, Quantum Mechanics is demonstrating
how very little we really know about science.
