McConnell’s Last Stand: He Wants Medicare, Social Security Cuts to Raise Debt Limit
The Fiscal Times via Yahoo Mews ^ | October 13, 2015 | Rob Garver

In case anyone thought things couldn’t get more chaotic on Capitol Hill, Senate Majority Mitch McConnell appears ready to set them straight. McConnell, according to a report first published by CNN, plans to make several major demands of the White House, including changes to Medicare, Social Security, and EPA regulations as his price for raising the nation’s debt limit. Related Stories

The report from CNN’s Manu Raju complicates the already fraught debate over whether and how to increase the Treasury Department’s ability to borrow the money it needs to pay the nation’s debts. Failure to allow additional borrowing would, at some point in early November, force the United States into default. U.S. government debt is viewed as the safest in the world – the closest thing there is to a risk-free asset. Allowing the government to default on its obligations would send shock waves throughout not just the U.S., but the global economy.

The sad part is that you and I pay for the sins too.

However, you nailed it.

It is a long time before faces the voters again, as if that is a worry to him because he knows that his cadre on this forum will see him through again, and again, and again.

I am by McConnell as I am with Obama. Do your damnest, do your worse. Let those that put you in power enjoy you. I don't.

That is actually a capital idea.

We’ll know when the trust fund is exhausted because a huge swath of them will jump back into the labor force and the unemployment rate will be 16% overnight.

Yup we do and will. But at least in the above scenario, THEY pay too. And they should pay till they are broken, abandoned and outcast from society as the destroyers they are.

I mean it’s simple math that Mitch would not be in DC without the people that voted and supported him. Thus those that voted for and supported him are the core of the problem. If he was not there, he would not be able to do what he has done. And they are responsible for him being there, thus they should pay the cost of his liberalism.

Sure, cut our senior's medicare and SS while they pour billions into sh*thole countries who hate us:

The average American hasn’t a CLUE how much of our tax money Obama has sent down Muslim sh*t holes while he plans to slash the military, CUTS MEDICARE and threatens to withhold senior’s social security checks!

BILLIONS FOR JIHAD! Obamas 2009 Supplemental Appropriations for Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Pandemic Flu was revised and passed by the full committee. Funding for the UN Relief and Works Agency programs in the West Bank and Gaza is limited to $119 million (Note: Gaza = Hamas)

Disaster Assistance: $200 MILLION to avert famines and provide life-saving assistance during natural disasters and for internally displaced people around the world, including Somalia, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, the Middle East and South Asia

Peacekeeping:$837 MILLION FOR UNITED NATIONS peacekeeping operations, including an expanded mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and a new mission in Chad and the Central African Republic

Department of Justice: $17 million, matching the request, for counter-terrorism activities and to provide training and assistance for the Iraqi criminal justice system

OBAMA GIVES YOUR TAX DOLLARS TO REBUILD MUSLIM MOSQUES AROUND THE WORLD! http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/... #

ACCORDING TO THE ASSOCIATED PRESS, THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION WILL GIVE AWAY NEARLY $6 MILLION OF AMERICAN TAX DOLLARS TO RESTORE 63 HISTORIC AND CULTURAL SITES, INCLUDING ISLAMIC MOSQUES AND MINARETS, IN 55 NATIONS. See the State Department document here. http://exchanges.state.gov/media/pdfs/office-...

And THAT’S just the tip of the iceberg.

THIS will blow your mind!! http://gbk.eads.usaidallnet.gov/ They should have 2010 up, but they don’t. That’s where you’ll find Obama’s largesse towards Muslim countries really go off the charts.

That's fine if they want to take a stand, but it has to be more than symbolic, otherwise it won't be worth doing (and they'll cave anyway). If they want to truly take a stand, then they need to do a full media/social media blitz to explain why they want to do this, and what will happen if changes aren't made.

The Turtle wants to take away from people who worked all their lives.

But does not want to reduce the Freeloaders Welfare?

This hack has a screw missing.

Inre ‘debt ceiling’, there was a tale running around last year that went....

Say you come home and your sewer flooded the basement, sewage was near the curtain rod and ‘perking’, and things looked dire.

You have 2 choices.

A. call a plumber, snake out the lines, find problem, fix same and hope your finished basement isn’t ‘finished’

OR

B. Allow the sewage to rise, and when it gets to about 6” below the ceiling get some jacks and raise the ceiling to accommodate MORE sewage and wait till next year to address the problem again.

That whole bunch on ‘The Hill’ is seemingly hell bent for solution B.

One would think they have an interest in jack companies.

Maybe they should be tossed into the basement to blend in with the rest of the $Hiite.....

They better save Social Security because there will be riots in the street. These idiots have frittered our money away on welfare payments to losers , SS Disability to people who did not pay into it, welfare and social programs for illegals. I could go on.
If the govt screws me over, I am leaving, taking my 401K however I can out of the country- and I dont care if I break laws in the process. Leave and never pay federal income tax again.

Again, there will be no COLA for SS recipients, even though food prices keep going up and up. But you can bet the liars, thieves and perverts in Versailles on the Potomac will get their raises.

I'm currently been unemployed for a year and half.
But I take solace in the fact that I'm not paying damned income tax to the illegal, unconstitutional Federal Government!

Social Security recipients probably will never notice, as the “raises” are just twelve to fifteen dollars per month in most cases.

Thanks for the compilation. Now why doesn’t the opposition party use this information to go after obama? Could it be that they are complicit?

We are in way more trouble than I thought.
