Dallas is competing with Austin as the lib cesspool of Texas.

From your link....

“Immigration is a federal law. I don’t know why they keep expecting me to take care of federal issues,” she said. “We make our decisions based on reason, safety and what’s best for the community.”

Simple. Turn them over to ICE.

Basically the problem as I see it:

We need a new President with balls.

Dallas needs a new sheriff similarly equipped.

“The first Latino to be the sheriff of a major city”

That’s all I had to hear to know what the article was about without reading any further.

Ain’t liberalism and diversity GREAT!

"Simple. Turn them over to ICE"

There's the problem. Bush and the GOP congress doubled the number of Border Patrol agents but hired no new ICE agents. After the meltdown in 08, none have been hired.

Back then, local govts & local law enforcement were asking for more ICE agents and that is actually why the number of Sanctuary Cities exploded during the Bush years.

If ICE wants these people they need to send somebody to pick them up, right away, instead pushing the cost off on the local taxpayers and forcing local law enforcement to illegally detain these prisoners.

This is like many problems, it could be solved by spending more money. The GOP congress need to appropriate more money for more ICE agents, court rooms, judges, jail cells, etc.

The Latino Bund is so stupid. Repub Gov Abbott can swat her down like
a fly---cut this govt employee off where it hurts the most---in the budget.

=================================================

WE NEED TO GO THIS ROUTE: Rhonda Cook one of the ace Atlanta Journal Constitution reporters bird-dogged the corrupt Atlanta teachers story.

Cook reported that the 1980 Georgia General Assembly was concerned about “the increasing sophistication of various criminal elements on the public payroll.” The Assembly then adopted the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), patterned after a similar federal law.

(RICO is often used to try to prove that a legal business was being used for illegal means, and, in at its inception, RICO was used to prosecute drug traffickers or organized crime members).

In recent years prosecutors have applied RICO to government officials accused of using their offices for personal gain---he activites of former and current Atlanta public school officials.

To bring a case under Georgia’s RICO law, there must be at least two underlying felonies — such as fraud, bribery, witness tampering (among other felonies).

===========================================

THE MONEY ACTION---RICO allows prosecutors to include multiple defendants charged with various crimes in the blanket indictment, and to charge that govt employees, publicy-funded and publicly-traded entities were allegedly part of an ongoing criminal enterprise...

......such as local govt welfare offices accepting falsified documents, state and/or county public assistance programs, education funding agencies expending tax funds illegally, voter registration agencies accepting falsified documents, lending/banking/credit card companies....even sheriffs using public monies to flout the law......

==============================================

REFERENCE ---Texas took the lead w/ 26 state AG's, successfully arguing that Obama's beatified DACA/DAPA's were made more desirable employees than US citizens.

==============================================

REFERENCE--In his ruling that upended Obama's plans to shield millions from deportation, U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen faulted Obama for not giving public notice. The failure to do so was a violation of the 1946 Administrative Procedure Act, which requires notice in the Federal Register as well as an opportunity for people to submit views in writing, Hanen ruled.

Wondered why he used "Latino" when it should be "Latina".

Maybe that 'splains it?

This is like many problems could be solved by spending more LESS money: eliminate the (ILLEGAL) welfare state.

Welfare or benefits that illegals receive flow from the SCOTUS decision in Plyler vs doe in 1982.

Plyler was used as the precedent when the court overturned Prop 187 in CA.
