Ted Cruz’s Fundraising Juggernaut
National Review ^ | October 12, 2015 | Eliana Johnson

One of the surprises of the election season has been Ted Cruz’s phenomenal fundraising numbers. He was out-raised by Ben Carson in the third quarter, $20 million to $12 million, but doubled Marco Rubio’s $6 million haul. And Cruz’s momentum shows no sign of letting up: A source with the campaign tells me that between the start of the fourth quarter on October 1 and close of business on Friday, October 9, the campaign had raised $1 million.

A spokesman for Florida senator Marco Rubio, whose third quarter numbers were underwhelming, said he’s on track to have the best fundraising month yet.

Republicans (see columns by Rich Lowry and George Will) and others (Frank Bruni, Charlie Cook), are starting to murmur that the momentum in this race is, for now, with Cruz, Rubio, and Carly Fiorina.

Jeb Bush hasn’t released his third quarter numbers and, while fundraising isn’t everything, he certainly has to sustain his financial dominance if he is to maintain a foothold in the race.

One can only guess or predict that Ted Cruz will release the funds in a slow uptick in TV ads and radio ads during the holidays especially the Chrisrimas New Years season in the early Caucasus states and early primary states including the early battle ground states.

Expect Ted Cruz to start rising in the polls at the end of December hitting his stride at the end of January.

Donald Trump is starting to go into the season where he will be starting to peak out.

Wow, his dad spending a lot of time in the Motor City state.

I once flew over Detroit coming into the airport there and from 20,000 feet you can see all the old auto factories along the lake there.

Rafael Cruz spent a week here in August and made some 11 stops and has been back at least twice since.

When I say I'm for Cruz, most not-too-political people I know dismiss him, saying things like "he's got no chance".

I tell them he's just chugging along with moderate momentum, waiting till the field clears and the distinctions get more obvious.

He's the smartest guy in the field and the most conservative. What's not to like?

For those who haven't been paying attention, Ted Cruz stands for taking the disastrous-for-US-citizen-employment H1-B program, and expanding it 500%.

How can it be considered "conservative" to
- flush out the demographics that actually vote conservative,
- who are actually citizens of the country,
- to consign them to unemployment,
-or, if they can find a job, treats them to depressed wages and insane working hours…
...while at the same time imports a demographic that consistently votes for liberal politicians?!?

Thank you for reminding me that the people working in the financial hubs are completely out of touch with what normal good Americans go through.
