Syrian army advances with help of Russian strikes; Putin reaches out to Saudis

Russian warplanes pounded Syrian rebels unaffiliated with Islamic State on Sunday, insurgents said, helping Moscow's ally Bashar al-Assad reclaim territory and dealing a fresh setback to the strategy of Washington and its allies.

President Vladimir Putin - who has infuriated Assad's enemies in the United States, Europe, Turkey and the Arab world by bombing the rebels to protect him - reached out to one of the Syrian leader's fiercest opponents by meeting the powerful defense minister of Saudi Arabia.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a group that monitors the 4-year-old conflict, said the Syrian military and its Lebanese Hezbollah militia allies had taken control of Tal Skik, a highland area in Idlib province, after fierce Russian bombing.

The Russians play to win.

Notice how there is no “death count” or talk of understanding the terrorists in their nightly news. There is no Russian Cindy Sheehan or talk abut taking in thousands of muslim “refugees”

Wonder what the Russians will be offering the Saudis to stop backing the Sunni rebellion against Assad?

Smells like a deal is cooking. We back off, the Russians meet with the Saudis. Perhaps everyone is realizing “this Syria thing was a very bad idea”.

That could be. Imagine if stability occurred within a period of weeks, simply by ridding the region of this administration and its proxies’ influences and evil deeds.

I read on breitbart yesterday that Rubio and Bush are calling for WAR with Russia.

Third grade idiots, those two are - along with Miss I'm on Fire, McCain and others in the news calling for war. Haven't we learned anything from the last century?

I think God help us, then I think how far from him as a nation we've fallen. Then I think, why should he?!

As I've said many times on this and other forums:
Assad, Saddam, and Qaddafi were and Assad is still a murdering tyrant. I wish the world could do away them and not leave a vacumn. The key word is vacumn, which every little pissant muslim tribe/sect is now trying to fill.

The region has become more unstable since two of those tyrants were disposed, not to mention Opeasor's support for the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. Thankfully, Egypt's military wasn't buying those radicals and overthrew Opeaser's puppet Morsi.

Now we have Russia involved and going imperialist. China is pushing/testing us. None of our traditional Allies trust us. Our enemies see the US as weak. Europe is taking in 100's of thousands of muslim immigrants (mostly male fighting age). American is bringing in less, but the same gender/age types that will give us problems in the future. Our PC acceptance of Islam and their Sharia theocracy is growing every day with their whining about their culture.

I see no solution to thwart the end of Western Civilization. The above is not conspiracy thinking, we're seeing it happen in Europe as I write this.

My only self-salvation is that I've had a great run as I enter the home stretch:
11 Years Navy;
Owned 2 successful companies while taking care of my employees;
On the streets with bullhorn in hand to protest China taking over the Long Beach Naval Station (we won);
Was the over-all coordinator for the first Free Republic demonstration in DC (1998 March for Justice);
Founding member and later Chairman of VetsCoR;
Finally found the love of my life and married her.

I and my wife have come to the conclusion that America may eventually be loss in our lifetime (she's a smart informed person). However, when #blacklivesmatter racists, DC civilian police (think agencies), or any other non-Constitutional entities come down my street to take what is rightly mine I have a plan. My wife leaves to a safe place we know and I stay behind and die defending my rights, property, and liberty.

Yes, I know I shouldn't say die, but if enough over-whelm my property, well, the outcome is inevitable. Hopefully, my neighbors will band together, but I won't depend on that.

Besides my service in the Navy, it would be my greatest honor to die for the cause of freedom. Just hope they get a head shot so I can meet my maker quickly, or just blank out.

“Wonder what the Russians will be offering the Saudis to stop backing the Sunni rebellion against Assad?”

They will be offering the Saudis consoling words that an Iranian nuclear strike on the Saudis is Obama’s fault and not due to Russia’s protecting Assad to prevent Sunni led ISIS from gaining a foothold through Turkey on Russian soil from three directions.

In other words, Obama let the Saudi’s enemy Iran get access to a nuke, yet Obama supports ISIS. And this entire fustercluck is America’s fault, specifically the Muzzie in chief.

That picture of Putin and the Saudi looks like a meeting between mob bosses. Everyone looks ready to go for their guns if anyone so much as blinks. No love lost there.

Don’t forget Hillary’s role in all this to. 0 was the head of this disaster but Hillary was at the heart of it.

Speaking after the meeting between Putin and Sheikh Mohammed bin Salman, a son of the Saudi king, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said both countries were willing to cooperate in Syria and wanted to prevent the formation of a "terrorist caliphate".

And there you have it, the Saudis would rather deal with a more stable Assad, and a stable Russia than Obama's lunatic Arab Spring terrorist "Rebels"/ISIS Caliphate.

Leave with your wife. Your property isn't worth not being with each other during the last gasps of this age. And take as many as you can with you. Leave the fighting to the opposing scavengers. Protect yours and the innocent as best you can. Who knows, perhaps like the Maccabees, we'll gain extra years for the nation. If this is the case (though I doubt it), we'll need people like yourself to rebuild and reaffirm the consequences of a nation turning its back on the Almighty.

God bless you for all you've done

From the reports and pics coming out of the Saudi-Russian meeting, I wouldn’t call it “reaching out”.

More of a “laying down the law” it seems.

The Saudi’s looked like they were crapping their pants when they came out of the meeting with Putin.
