No....it is not “stupidity” in that sense. There is never an “accident” in politics—or something done that looks like it was “stupid” — they were forced to do/say it.... It is “Libido Dominandi”......no one rises to such power without the elite goons compromising them somehow....they can blackmail every one of those in Congress....every one unless they are a true Christian. It is how the “system” works and why Christians were purged out of our military and sodomites replacing them......YOU don’t play along and go with their diabolical agenda, you get demoted or destroyed......or killed.
