Is the Confederate flag involved?
The shooting is the third in recent weeks on or near the TSU campus. It's unclear if the shootings are related.
A person was wounded in a shooting about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday during an argument on the campus along Tiger Walk, police said.
Officials said the victim was leaving an event at the campus museum and got into an argument with another person. The other person apparently pulled out a gun and shot the victim.
The victim was rushed to nearby hospital. Details of the person injuries and condition were not released, but officials said the person was alive the following morning.
Officials said it was not known if the victim or the shooter were students. Also, it's unclear what sparked the argument. Officials have not if the suspect was in custody.
In another shooting, police said a man, later identified as 20-year-old Darrius Nichols, fired a gun toward a crowd of people about 9:30 p.m. Sept. 26 at a student apartment complex at 3525 Blodgett near Tierwester.
TSU officials said Alexandra Nicks and LaKeytric Quinn were wounded in the shooting. Quinn was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. Nicks was also taken to a hospital and treated for a gunshot wound. Her condition was not released.
Nichols, sophomore at TSU from Garland, surrendered at the scene and was taken into custody. He has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the case.
HPD spokesman Victor Senties said at the time that a TSU police officer dispatched to a disturbance prior to the gunshots being fired ordered Nichols to drop his weapon, but the man turned toward the officer with the gun still in his hand. The officer then fired gunshots at him, but no one was wounded by the officer's gunfire, Senties said.
More details will be reported about the most recent shooting when they become available.

Anyone get the feeling that the #nationalSocialistLeft is encouraging these shootings to push their anti-Liberty agenda?
I’ve been to Gettysburg several times even bought a Reble flag, so I must assume I am on the suspect list.
My mistake - that was what this thread is about.
In my defense I would have to say that there are so many of these ‘incidents’ that it’s quite easy for one to become confused..
Yes, there have been multiple shootings there and it took me a while to figure out if this was the same one as a couple days ago. TSU is a black college and there’s a MLK street and it’s in Houston. Apparently, only some BLM.
Governor’s state university is well outside the city of Chicago and is in a very nice area.
Gun free zone didn’t work?
My my my..
Feel bad for the victims.
Houston is NOT a “gun free zone”. It’s more like a “guns prolific” zone.
LOL any big city full of Baraq’s Amish sons is gonna be like that.
Colleges and schools are gun free zones.
Thanks for the info. One of my clients (very liberal psychologist) lives very near the campus and rails all the time about the rude, trashy, scary looking students. I recently commented that I no longer come into the city unless I am carrying and she was appalled. Thinks all of Houston’s problems would be resolved if all guns were banned and that it will be less stressful for those who live in the city once the HERO ordinance passes. Not sure I could ever understand how all these things seem to link together in her thought process. Needless to say most of our conversations are confined to strictly business.
