Russia’s Giving ISIS An Air Force
Daily Beast ^ | 10.08.15 | Michael Weiss

Putin’s air campaign in Syria is not only supporting Assad, it’s giving cover to fighters from the so-called Islamic State.

Last June, the U.S. embassy in Damascus accused Bashar al-Assad’s air force of clearing a path for an ISIS advance on Syrian rebels in the Aleppo town of Azaz. “Reports indicate that the regime is making air strikes in support of [ISIS’s] advance on Aleppo, aiding extremists against Syrian population,” the embassy account tweeted, following up with a broader accusation: “We have long seen that the regime avoids [ISIS] lines, in complete contradiction to the regime’s claims to be fighting [ISIS].”

Now Russia seems to have inherited Assad’s role as the unacknowledged air force of ISIS.

Well, of course, this is true, but the Putinistas are not going to believe this. Putin’s only there, in their minds, to save Christians. He’s doing the work of God; he’s sooooo devout.

War is bad ... very bad .... but never forget ...

No matter who started it or is to blame ... the resulting correction hoped for by going to war, is a messy and horrible business

maybe important jihadis were in those hospitals (I don't know)

Why can’t we just back off and nuke this whole region from orbit? There’s no one to get behind in this fight.

Use a mix of Russian and US nuke, test them both for awhile.

Personally, I don’t care who Russia is bombing. There are no good guys over there.

ISIS is populated by large numbers of Chechens and other goons from former soviet countries where “terrorists” are known to also be FSB agents. I remember reading an article that some high profile agents of Moscow/Terrorists were sent into Syria/Iraq way in advance some time ago.

It’s highly possible that the reason why ISIS isn’t being pounded is because Russia controls ISIS anyway. It’s filled with his people! Why bomb it? But it makes for a good narrative to insert a heinous group like ISIS to make every other anti-Syrian government group look bad.

A money quote from the article supporting my previous post:

or one thing, Putin’s Federal Security Service (FSB), Russia’s domestic intelligence arm and one of the successors of the former KGB, has actually been helping jihadists in Dagestan emigrate to Syria to join ISIS, the better to lower the temperature on a homegrown Islamic insurgency and also enervate American-led coalition efforts.”

I’m shocked none of our local Putinists posted this article yesterday. They’ve been gleefully posting everything they can find about Russian intervention in Syria.

I don’t know what to believe anymore. I would think Putin would be intelligent enough to realize that Isis/Isil has him and his country on its destruction list also. As I am sure does Iran and any other “true muslim” group.

Think about it “true muslims” follow Mohammed and the things he did and advocated which are/were not peaceful actions. If there are Muslim pacifists they are not true muslims or followers of Mohammed and his ideology of islam, they are radical/heretics, who may also be afraid of the aggressive ideology of “true muslims.”

A Meghan McCain vehicle.

Regardless, I don’t know what to believe anymore.

An utter whirlwind of corruption and lies swirls around us.

more retarded state dept logic
unlike obama and the state department, who both abandon allies and leave people to get murdered... Putin is supporting Assad / his client ally and anyone trying to take him down is fair game...
collateral damage is a shame and that is why wars should be avoided and when they start... as they say ALL IS FAIR....
letting isis assist in the job is fine, then take out isis..

isnt that what we thought we could do with al queda in afghanistan... giving us 9/11
and we did it again by creating isis.... never learn
besides the biggest danger to this county resides in the white house... TRAITOR

Well....prophecy says it will be so.

And all of that alliance building between Assad, Putin, Iran, ISIS will give Israel quite a bit of heartburn.

See my tagline
